.......DUBLIN, TEXAS.....DR. PEPPER...

Dublin, Texas..is the only place that still makes Dr. Pepper using pure Sugar Cane sugar. It is the Dr.Pepper of my youth...in comes in the little 61/2 ounce bottle, remember those...It is ..nectar of the Goddess...I love Dublin Dr. Pepper. I think it is the cure for a bad day...a bad hair day and and a bad marriage..

Remember back when I was pissing and moaning about the slaughter factories here in Texas that kill race horses and other horses to send them to Asia and Eupope for them to eat??? My on again and off again candidate for Governor of Texas, Kinky Friedman has something to say on the subject too.
"It's not right at all, so let me say this to meat-hungry French ladies:'Save a horse. Ride a cowboy.'"( I think he should have said...'save a horse...EAT a cowboy.')
Along those same lines..Whole Foods in Austin, Texas is halting the sale of live lobsters and crabs, calling the practice inhumane. Scientific studies have concluded that all decapod crustaceans, including lobsters, and crabs, appear to have some degree of awareness, feel pain and can learn. (yea, learn to stay out of pots of boiling water.)..while other studies say that lobsters have such primitive insectlike nervous systems that they don't even have brains and can't experience pain the way animals and humans do..Just know it won't stop me from eating lobster or crabs...no more than Kevin's horror story about the cow killing meat packing place is going to slow me down from scarfing steaks, and rare steaks at that...People who eat thier steaks with steak sauce and well done need to be tossed in that pot with the lobsters..
I am afraid to push publish..I tried to upload(download??) my picture of Dublin, Texas Dr.Pepper sign....and don't know the outcome of that..plus there is a little message down at the bottom of the post saying it could not connect to blogger.com saving and publishing may fail..test connection now....I did and it keeps coming back...oh...fuckity fuck fuck fuck..here goes.....

You could go back and try to edit and add the Dr. Pepper sign. It seems blogger is working for now.

I'm still going to eat seafood, right along side my nice juicy medium rare steak (don't throw me off the cliff for saying this but I do like a THIN layer of A-1 sauce on it)Serve that up with some fries and a glass of Dr. Pepper and I'm happy. I mapquested it from my house to Dublin Tx, and if I leave now I can be there by dinner tomorrow night. (23 hours)

You Dood it! You Dood it!
Now we can have more pictures of wonderful West.

I tried to zoom Google earth in on West Saturday night to get an eyeful but it refused to invade your privacy. I think Google is scared of you. Now we have rain so your aim may have been a little off.
Let's not forget the Cat eating Chinese.
I think the only reason they don't want you to eat crab and lobster is so there will be a glut on the market and the price will go down for them.
Then again if their serious they can go ahead and stop eating them and there will be more for me.
They just don't seem to understand what it means to be at the top of the food chain.
Horses are to pretty to eat. Probably tough too.

Yay ! JS posting a pic on blogger is easy albeit a lil laborious on dial up, but now you've done it I foresee no end of fucked up pictures being posted hehehe.
Did ya remember to ask Sooner how he separated your picture and text in your banner ? Mine is pissing me off having a [.] in the taskbar.
Does English mustard count as steak sauce ? If so I'm very guilty your godessness.
As you pointed out Lobsters and crabs have no brains , a bit like the French and Koreans.

Ahhh...now I know what Dublin Dr. Pepper is. I quit drinking regular Dr. Pepper years ago because it's just too sweet. I drink the diet stuff. Maybe actually using sugar instead of corn syrup makes it better? If I'm ever in that neck of the woods again, I'll have to try it out.

As for meat, I'm a total carnivore. It takes way too much energy to eat vegitarian (not to mention that I hate vegetables). I would like to start buying my meat on the hoof, though, just so I know where it comes from. I grew up on freshly butchered meat. My uncle was a custom butcher, and my grandparents raised a calf for beef every year, so we always knew what we got in our beef. Someday when we have a nice place out in the country, I'd like to start doing that again. Except my husband will probably make a pet out of it *laughs*, and we'd never be able to have beef again.

Lobsters, yucko. I don't eat meat at all (no, I'm not a weirdo veg who lectures her friends, eat that steak in front of me, I don't care), but lobsters are closely related to insects and frankly, they look like a giant, red bug sitting on a plate.
*shivers*
