THANKS CONGRESS, YA FUCKED US AGAIN.

Subject: Why AIG Was Rescued
Remember when this economic crisis hit, and Congress let Bear Sterns go under, pushed a bunch of forced marriages between banks, etc.? Then they bailed out AIG. At the time, I thought: "That's strange. What does an insurance company have to do with this crisis?" I think I just found the answer.
Among other things, AIG INSURES THE PENSION TRUST OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS!! No wonder they got bailed out right away! To hell with the people, let's protect our future, said all our Senators and Congressmen. Its nice to see where their loyalties lie. (I'm from the government and I'm here to help you.

Bear Stearns didn't go under, JPMorganChase bought them out so there was nothing to bail out.

No employer in the world would put up with employees behaving the way Congress treats the people. I say it's time to fire their asses.Of course then they could live like kings on their pensions.

"I'm from the government and I'm here to help" is actually on a bumper sticker...with the Grim Reaper featured prominently on it as well.
Congress (the opposite of progress) is there to help themselves, and make it LOOK LIKE they're helping you.
Take away their "golden fleece" retirement plan and put them on SocSec like the rest of U.S...
Damn, I'm ranting again - Sorry.

The only correct answer to "1984", is 1776!
My brother Danny says we aught to have a "potato sack party": Close on Washington D.C. with 535 potato sacks, stuff a congressman in each one, tie it shut and throw it out on the Potomac as a science experiment to see if shit really floats...Ben Franklin would be so proud.
Says it'd be "the best thing to happen to career politicians since the invention of the guillotine."

You should run for Congress Jackie! I'll be your campaign manager (since I'm not American and cannot vote anyway) and we'll get you elected and then you can live in the lap of luxury and kick some ass up there in Washington! I mean, your younger than McCain (but then again, who isn't?!) so it's totally plausible, right?

ted;I'm in favor of a good ole fashioned 'texas blanket' party..that where you find the culprit toss a blanket over him and beat the shit out of him.
buddha:yes mamam

yellowdog granny complaining about the bailout, the one that the Democrat Congress and Messiah-elect fully supports? Ummm, you do remember the Democrats have been the majority party in Congress since 2006, right? Could it be your rant is becoming more bi-partisan, or is the senility finally kicking in, Granny dear? Perhaps you ought to BIP yourself.

dear roland:sigh*..you just don't get it at all do it...it's not just the republicans I bash I also bash the weak sister democrats that caved to bush all the time..and I've been against the bail out no matter who was for it..and I resent you calling him the messiah...he's just a man...who will make mistakes and make plenty of them ..and as far as I'm concerned he's already made one by having that gay bashing bastard do the prayer..feck...and if your going to come over here and give your opinion..at least give a place where I can come return the favor..and as for bipping myself?...I do it all the time.and I'm not to sure I qualify for senility yet..but can't speak for you.

"The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated."
--Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Albert Gallatin, 1817

"There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."
-- James Madison, speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 16, 1788

"the true theory of our Constitution is surely the wisest and best . . . (for) when all government . . . shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become as . . . oppressive as the government from which we separated."
--Thomas Jefferson

"The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
-- Thomas Jefferson

I doubt that this will happen very soon. Since far too many of this countrys' citizens (and businesses!) are like pigs lapping at the trough of government handouts.
