"HOLY SHIT!"

I went out to get gas and by the time I pumped gas into the truck I couldn't feel my face. I went to the Library and on the way out the wind blew my clip-on sun shades right off my glasses. While at Food Mart getting chicken I declared that I was going home and not coming out till I saw bluebonnets..fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckeme...it's cold..yeah, I know, it's about 28 degrees out there and where you leave it's 4 below, don't give a shit. We're not used to it..There is some place in New York that got 55 inches of snow. Holy shit!....
I'm going to go make a cup of hot tea and curl up in my snuggie and read the rest of the girl with the dragon tattoo..which by the way is turning out to be a kick ass book. Still waiting for U is for Underwear, or what ever it's called..stay warm y'all, don't want your asses to freeze off.

Laughed my ass off over the cartoon.

It's a balmy 45 here and I have to wear three layers of clothes on when I go out and the dogs are waiting for spring to pee.

Luckily we haven't had the wind but it is certainly cold! 7 degrees now. It hurts my lungs to be out in it for too long.

It's been snowing all goddamned day up here...I was out in it running a snowthrower for most the work day. Now the snow's ending and as the cloud cover leaves the mercury takes a nosedive.
Twenty-eight degrees'd be a welcomed heat-wave...As in "Woo-hoo! Break out the fuckin' sun-tan oil and swim trunks!"

The schools have been closed all week here some for snow and some for cold. If it gets up to 28 here I'll have to fire up the grill and turn the heat off. We are having a snow storm right now that is going to last another 24 hours.
In Jan. 95 I was driving an 18 wheeler up near Saint Paul. I stopped for fuel and wearing two pairs of gloves I still got frostbite on two fingers. With the wind chill it was about 40 below 0.
I left the fuel stop and checked into a motel for the night. Still had to keep the truck running all night or it would have never started.
You know it's cold when the moisture freezes in your eyes.

Just don't light your underwear on fire. It attracts too much attention. Did you all get sleet? We got no wet stuff, just wind. Glad for that.

We have 4- to 50 below with wind chill's. Plus more the 20 inches of snow, fun stuff.

that would be 40 to 40 below

How you are freaking out about the cold is how I freak out about the heat here in the summer if it hits like +30C or so! LOL!

At least in the cold, you can throw more clothes on! :o)

I can't even imagine how you guys handle cold like you do...it was about 12 or so last night and Im so used to the heater going off once or twice at night that when it went off the 8th time me and dexter both were pissed...

Just shoveled snow for an hour, just got a couple inches. Ugh. cold is bad, but I hate snow.

Hope you picked up your ass after it fell off.

It said +10 at the bank a little while ago. We still have lots of snow on the North side of buildings and in shades. As always, the holidays are over and I'm ready for spring.
That cartoon explains what I found in the parking lot.

We got a dusting of snow here and everything is shut down. It isn't the snow, it's the ice on the roads that's the problem. There are too many hills and crooked roads. The sun will melt it, but the ice is still there in the shady spots and will refreeze after sundown.

Looks like it is up to 29 at 1pm.
