EAT YOUR HEART OUT

I always thought this was the second largest outdoor swimming pool, but I was wrong. It is the LARGEST outdoor swimming pool in Texas. Been up and going for over 50 years.
This is the deep end where the slides and diving boards are..the area on the left is the new 'night club'..where they have parties and bands and dance. Oh yeah, they serve beer and wine coolers. Off to the right is where the volley ball nets and horse shoes are set up. Also have shaded picnic tables and it's really cozy. The bar is called the Blue Lagoona. I don't go to the pool any more..think I went once last year late in the evening. I am allergic to the sun..and blister and face swells up like a balloon and makes me really sick. So I don't go..But thinking about going late in the evening after the sun goes down . Anyhow..just another reason why you should come visit me in West, By Goddess, Texas.
KC's having a BBQ Cook Off and supposed to be a judge..But have itch and sore throat and stuffed up nose. Not sure if this is a summer cold or my allergies have new symptoms. Either way it might effect my taste buds..Still waiting for the rest of the pictures of my cooking(fruit salad) at the Rest Haven. Kathy keeps forgetting to send them, so it will probably be Monday or Tuesday..feck.

Man, I think your blog does more positive advertising for West than anything. The City should pay you.

I'm telling you..I live in a great little town. Think the pictures were taken in the morning 'cause it's normally packed from front to back.

I was going to say it doesn't look as crowded as when you posted pictures before. Adding a lounge is a stroke of genius.
I don't think it would be a good idea for me to jump into a pool full of chlorine right now. It might sting a little. Plus my scars would scare away all the pretty girls in their skimpy swim suits.

That is one honkin' big pool! Sorry to hear you're a bit under the weather -- I hope you perk up soon! Hugs to Dexter.

I think we could drop all the pools in our town and lose them in that one.

We have one pool here and it's indoors. What do you expect from a place that is winter nine months out of the year? Yours looks fantastic though!

Sigh. I just love that pool.

They need to put a canopy or tarp up over a corner of it so you can get out of the sun if you want. I know I would want to...
