WEST, BY GODDESS, NEWS

Have been trying to sit down and do another post on West, but between watching Abby and life in general I've been up to my ass in alligators. So I'm posting this so you can get an idea of what West does for West and with the help from some wonderful people..Little Parker, who lost his daddy in the explosion said he wanted to have a benefit to help build the park that had been destroyed in the explosion, and he wanted to sell hot dogs to raise money for the park..This is what happened...he raised over $83,000 for the park..can't wait to see what happens next..
I downloaded and linked some articles from the papers and tv channels ..in case you'd like to see what's going on..
I can't begin to tell you about the generosity of the people in Texas, the USA, and other parts of the world..They have donated money, time and love to help West..
I am so proud of the people of West, who every day do something for and beyond the duty as a family member and a friend..Story's that will never make the head lines of the local paper or the 5 o'clock news...but they happen all the time, every day...The countless people that opened up their home to their family or friends for the past 3 months, so they would have a place to stay. Like my friend Patsy Patsy Patsy who opened up her home to her best friend and family for the past 3 months so they would be here and close to their home while it's getting fixed..they are in their home now and I'm sure Patsy Patsy Patsy just felt like it was what you do for your friends...you step up...I'd like to write a book and call it STEP UP... because that is what so many have done for West...they stepped up to the plate and they did what they had to do...for no other reason than it's what you do...Goddess bless my little town and all of her citizens..

I'm not an all surprised to hear the wonderful way people step up, but still it is delightful to hear about it.

Bravo to Parker and his fund-raising efforts! And to Patsy Patsy Patsy and others like her who take the time to help out fellow citizens.

Goodness. Little Parker is a real inspiration - and with role models like Patsy, it's no wonder how come he is like he is.

*hugs*

The citizens of West continue to amaze and inspire - not just each other - but in places where your blog is read.

I got all that when I visited. You're lucky to live in a place where everyone cares, not all towns, even the small ones, compare.
