35TH WESTFEST EATS

The following was consumed:
2,100 hamburgers, 560 corn dogs,1,130 pounds of french fries, 3,600 kolaches, 600 sausage kolaches, 200 Czech rolls, 300 baked potatoes, 30 cases of potatoes for spudzillas (potato twisters, which looked absolutely delectable),7,395 sausage sandwiches, sausage sticks, and sausage and kraut plates, 1,300 roasted ears of corn, 300 bags of Bavarian nuts, 150 pounds of corn for kettle popcorn, 25 pounds of uncooked pork rinds, 800 skunk eggs, 60 pounds of fried green tomatoes, 15 gallons of fried pickles, 20 pounds of fried squash, 400 ice cream floats and ice cream servings,1,800 funnel cakes, 980 steaks on a stick, 440 chicken on a stick,250 pork on a stick, 280 rib eye sandwiches, 288 bean burritos, 280 cheese nachos, 216 chicken burritos, 65 pretzels, 550 BBQ sandwiches, 200 Gut Boats,(I have no idea) 225 chicken and beef fajitas, 380 nachos, 672 turkey legs, 341 hot dogs, 250 strudel slices, 150 catfish baskets, 150 chicken baskets and 50 shrimp baskets. They still won't tell us how much beer was consumed. Which is chicken shit.
And as they have in the past..Dennis and Jimmy Dulock were the Horseshoe Champions. I think they've won it damn near every year...Oh..my friend Mike D. (the new citizens of West,Texas) took 13 place in his age category in the Kolache 5000. Plus...Strickly's float took third place and Tokio Store took second .. Cernosek Insurance float won first place.
OK..that's it..Westfest is done for another year...I swear..this year I'm going to join the Westfest board and see if I can't get some changes made. They'll probably throw me out after the first meeting, but I'm tired of bitching and nothing happening..see ya next Westfest.

That is one ton of food! But it makes you wonder why the beer stats are a state secret!

The run way must of smelled like skunk (eggs!) mingled with 288 post-digested bean burritos...
