  8. What a great way to start the weekend. John and I laughed our a$$es off reading these, Jackie Sue. That Mastercard one is priceless! John said that George W. Bush cartoon could have been written by you! LOL! He also got a kick out of "Help"...the cat.

  11. It actually took me a minute to get the top one. Sometimes I am painfully slow.

  12. Ha ha! On several of these I had to call my son over to look. We both especially liked the mastercard spoof.

  13. Love the "Pissing off the religious right" one!!! And free speech, even for douche bags. Perfect.

  14. You know what I find strange?
My Hell mart has no James Lee Burke books.
K-mart also. Maybe they don't like what he writes.

  15. Life indeed begins at lust. Even Dante thought lust was the least deadly of the seven deadly sins.

  16. Why would lust be considered a sin? Seems to be a survival trait to me.

  17. As always thanks for making me laugh.

  18. The Evil Empire/House of Satan does censor what they sell (they've been quite blunt in admitting they won't carry books by "left wing" authors), but it's also possible that Burke is such a best seller that his publisher won't count a discount deal with them or Kmart. Why sell books at a discount when people are willing to buy them at full price at Borders? I don't think I've ever been lucky enough to find a James Lee Burke book on a remainder table or in a store like Books A Million. (Don't think I've ever seen one in a Goodwill or Salvation Army either -- when people buy them, they keep them to re-read.)

nan:this was a good batch I found, they were all good..
morecowbell:I LIVE to piss off the religious right...really...
    jobkiller:but you did get it..ha
cotw:I like it when you can bring the family in for a good laugh..
    unokhan:isn't that the truth?..
elizabeth:free speech shouldn't be free for douche bags..ha
nitwit:check down and see what Nan has to say about this..
    josh:lust is good..like greed..
    nitwit:i agree.
travis:ahh, my work here is done..
    nitwit:holy shit..I'll be right there..
nan:your 1000% right..I used to keep all m james lee burke books but then I felt it was my duty to pass them on to people who hadn't read him. I've never seen one of his books at a yard sale, or a garage sale, or used book store..ever..which you can't say about the rest of the authors..

  20. You always find the bestest stuff.

I especially loved the 'priceless' guy. WonderWoman came in a close second on making me giggle til I pee'd my pants.

    :)
