As some one who was cheering for Dallas, I did not see the last TD as running up the score at all. In pro sports you play the whole game no matter what.
Something called "a defense" would have stopped that, and four other TD's.
In pro sports, the playoffs are life and death. You do NOT give any foe the least bit of a chance to come back. You keep stomping on them until the final whistle. Regular season, that would have been running up the score. Playoffs? There is no such thing.
Face it. The great nono had his ass handed to him by by an old man who knew how to survive.
Steve is not a football fan at all. While we were reading the paper this morning he chuckled. I asked what was funny...he said "The Cowboys got their asses kicked....by a 40 year old quarterback. That's our daughter's team BTW." Just telling you the story, JackieSue. The Cowboys could be a polo team for all I know.

ReplyDeleteTwo things YDG-
ReplyDelete1. It's only seven months until training camp.
2. Wouldn't Jordan Shipley look good in a Cowboys uniform?
Other than that, this football season is now over for me.
I'm not only afraid to comment but also I can't bring myself to check the score.

ReplyDeleteWhoever said it doesn't matter if you win or lose, but rather how well you play the game apparently wasn't talking about football.
ReplyDeleteBe cool if the Jets would win the Superbowl this year. Ain't gonna count on it though.

ReplyDeleteJimmy Johnson said the last touchdown was part of professional football.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Johnson has been wrong before. It was definitely running up the score.

That TD was the blood-eagle. Ouch.
ReplyDeleteI think the Cowboys went easy on them so they would feel good about themselves.
ReplyDeleteBoy, do they feel good about themselves now.
