  1. LOVE IT!

I was so excited when I woke up this morning to a text message from a friend letting me know the health care bill was getting passed. Now hopefully I won't have to read to much more about it on the news because I was actually getting sick hearing about it!

  2. Hell to the yes! And now you all can go here and send a message of love to Rush Limbaugh via the Democratic Committee.

  3. I haven't stopped laughing on hearing what Rush said about leaving the country and being too dumb to know he was going to a country where health care single payer government managed!!

I spent the entire evening watching C-Span with other friends all tied in via Facebook and Twitter and e.mail. It was a wonderful thing to watch and when those GOP guys shouted out and acted like drunken sailors, it was only better. I enjoy seeing who is and is not working for the people.

  6. Good evening JackieSue,

You gotta love it, they had to break a bunch are rules to get it done. But they got it done.

My insurance and drug stocks when up today. 30,000,000 new customers, whether they like it or not. And now that the Feds are guaranteeing payments even though most benefit don't kick in until 2014. Yep, you Gotta love those democrats!

And as an independent, November is looking very interesting.

(Bend Over and Grab your Ankles), folks!
Even if you do not work for a living or run a business, YOU are going to pay for the "free" health care coverage...
    OR ELSE!

  10. As of this morning, the Republicans are in absolute denial.
They just can't figure out why their threats of death panels, and global apocalypse didn't fool anybody.

  12. Old Baynor is going to need his great health care when the skin cancer starts from his living in a tanning booth. I know there are a lot of assholes here in Ohio but he is the head spinkter.
    (sp).
There were a collection of Tea Baggers who showed what they really fear at their little demonstrations. They seemed to think all the pro health care people were black or gay.
By the time most of it goes into effect I will hopefully be on Medicare. The guy at Social Security swears that They will have a decision within the next ten days.
That means the deadline is April Fools day. Seems fitting somehow.

  13. Actually I know MANY poor repugs. The thing that I really don't get is how easily led they are to do their masters' bidding. They fight against their own best interests to harm themselves and benefit the already exceedingly wealthy. Fear is a powerful tool and any lie can be hidden within I suppose.

I wish I could be happy about the health care bill but IMO it's insufficient. The health insurance companies still stand to benefit far more than the avg Americans do and that is unacceptable in my mind.

  14. nitwit:the good news is that when they finally give you your disability it will be from the date you filed...so that will help..it'll be a lump sum and then you'll get your monthly check..check into medicaid also..I got it and it pays the other 20% that medicare doesn't pay.
pom:there is a lot bad about the bill..but it's a step in the door and one's its in..it can be changed..that's a good thing..it's washington ..nothings written in stone except the right to bear arms..

  15. Good summation YG.
    It can work.
I couldn't object to expanding Medicare and Medicaid as a plan for those who can't afford insurance, or families below poverty line, and it could all be financed with national lottery and a slight FICA increase.
Another option is making the med profession non-profit, and everybody pays according to income - which means folks below poverty line get it free & Uncle Sam covers the dif.
These are a few options that haven't been considered - yet.

  16. Thank you. Read my facebook before I went to bed last night. Majority is screaming against it. Have been sitting here wondering about starting a war, when I voice my opinion. You helped me to grow balls. Wish me luck. They may take me down but I will fight all the way. lol
