Remember my little rant about the DAM News not posting the marriage vows of gay couples?..Well, lookyhere...I saw this in the paper this morning and nearly fell out of my recliner.
My exact words when I saw it was....HOLY --FUCKME.
I mean it blew me away. In my DAM News there is a section of the Sunday paper called True Romance..and it talks about couples that have been together for 25 years, 30 years, etc. Also about couples that were in love in their 20's, split up and got back together 30 years later and living happily every after. Really sweet stories..I usually scan the stories as I'm actually more interested in the sports section. But the stories are pretty cool. Well...this is the story I found in the True Romance section today. (Story written by Kathleen Green a Plano freelance writer.
If you click on it ..it'll get bigger so you can read it...Damn...the DAM News made me proud.
Wow! What a beautiful love story! The DAM news has taken a step in the right direction. Perhaps it's been feeling some heat over the decision not to allow same-sex marriage announcements?

ReplyDeleteWhat a great story. I worry about the one who is left when one of them dies though, I just hope they now have the same rights as "legally" married couples.
