MADE A NEW FRIEND FRIDAY

I had a great day Thursday. P came up from Houston to visit me and partake of a skunk egg. We've been blogger friends for a few years and when she was going to be as close as Austin I said 'come on up'...You always hope that the friend you have on line will be everything you thought they would be..so far I've not been disappointed..She was every bit as smart and funny as I she had been on line...I mean really..she calls her soon to be x-husband 'buzzkill'...how great is that? We had a great time. Jeanne had 2 huge huge pieces of Czech cheesecakes for us..they were served on dinner plates and filled the plate. They were so good..I can't even begin to describe them..P. had her skunk egg and I think she really enjoyed it. She had a cheeseburger with fries and I had a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. We sat and talked for the longest and I so hope she moves to Austin so we can see more of each other. But the main thing is where ever she winds up..New York or Austin I hope she's happy cause she deserves it. She's one special lady..raised by a great mama and daddy down there in Houston. To make sure we got rid of the great meal at Pizza House we walked over to Gerik's Bakery and bought pecan rolls and kolaches.(on top of a free tasting of the new rolls they had just made)..I had such a great time, had great food and it was a beautiful if breezy day(and saw my first bluebonnet of the year)...and all I can say is..I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't live in West, by Goddess, Texas and not able to eat at Pizza House and Gerik's...But you can come visit. I found out that it cost $12 to fed x over night to anywhere in USA, and $4 for the skunk egg..So if anyone is interested or would rather have kolaches..let me know..I think it would be worth it to get a little bit of heaven sent to your house from mine..
