The first Stephen King I read was Salem's Lot. I was in the Navy in Brunswick, Maine at the time and Brunswick was in the area where Salem's Lot was supposedly located - I had come back from a flight and got home about two in the morning - I couldn't lay the book down: They were at the old mans house and there was a vampire upstairs in his bedroom - about that time the toilet seat fell shut (yea - I know I'm suppose to close it.) It scared the hell out of me - and I have been a King fan every since. the Ol'Buzzard
