IN TEXAS THE WORD YANKEE

means anyone that was born 50 miles out side of your home town. I call people in Dallas Yankees. My grandfather 'Daddy Red' thought everyone in Houston was a Yankee. Wikipedia says different..what the fuck do they know...they're Yankees.

  2. ....and damn proud of it.

Actually, no. It just is. Pride comes from who I am, not where I'm from.

  4. I think you really mean "Yanker" as in "Wanker".... But a Yankee from Boston doesn't pronounce the "r".

  7. I married a daughter of the confederacy, so I claim southern status by way of my children's blood.

But I'm still a damn yankee when stuck in traffic.

  8. I was always taught anyone north of the Red River was a Yankee -- but then I grew up a mile south of that river.
