NEKKID DEXTER

The first couple of pictures are the first round..the pictures of the fur is the first batch of hair...oh my ....never seen anything like it..to say he's pissed is an understatement..I'm going to leave his tail..I feel so awful..I know it's the best for him because of the heat and fleas. They are horrible this year..Dexter has hardly had any fleas at all..this year, the place and him are covered with them. I used frontline..but he was still loaded with them when we shaved him. Going to ask Dr. Thom if I can use 7-dust on him too. Will do the yard and spray the house..maybe bomb it..so they don't get a hold on...poor Dexter..I feel so bad..I know it needs to be done, but I still feel horrible about it..In the mean time I'm putting all my shoes on the top shelf in the closet.

  4. I bet he feels a lot better, it doesn't look too bad but man what a lot of fur he had! Tell him I still think he's the most handsome cat ever.
Fleas can be dangerous, and make them sick, our Max got horrible flea dermatitis so you totally did the right thing.

  6. Oh, poor, poor Dexter! You did the right thing, the only thing possible, but I understand feeling bad about it, YellowDog.

He's such a beautiful cat! You'll get rid of those damn pests and his fur will grow back.

  8. Awww, he looks like a kitten version of his older self, and the relief he'll get now will definitely make it all worthwhile. Ye Gads, woman, but you're fearless..!

  9. No more flea medicine. I accidently killed my cat using flea powder after shaving her tail. It's to much for their system.

  10. Yep! Consult your vet. Uing a flea powder or giving cats and dogs a flea bath after Frontline or any of those products have killed many an animal. :0(

  11. I used to have that flea problem with cats and a dog. Used sevin dust in the yard and then put them outside for a day while I bug bombed the house. A can in each room. That did the trick. However, nowadays they have a pill for that.
