  3. *commiserates* I wish they'd get on the stick and either figure out how to upload brains into something more durable, or how to fix these malfunctioning sacks of meat we're stuck in at the genetic level.

  4. I can empathize, having one too. Another site popped up about a month ago in my sacroiliac on the left so I couldn't walk 100 feet without having to sit down, and I figured it wasn't going away, so on Wednesday I got a cortisone injection, and Thursday morning, the pain was gone.

Something to consider depending on what your pain comes from.

  8. Rest, but keep doing occasional gentle movements so the joints and/or muscles don't freeze up.

  9. Any one of those issues would be bad enough on its own. All I have to say is "ouch!". I hope the shots do some magic for you.

As to your posting, do what you need to, can do. Whether one, 25, or 50 memes posted, or a quick "no can do today", I'm just glad to know you're still breathing.

  10. Although not as long as you (mine began in 2011, I'm mid-70-s now), I had surgery (microdiscectomy) on L4-L5 (fucked it up even more). And, then they wanted to do MORE surgery.... maybe fusion or a plate w/screws. They didn't know for sure WHAT would fix it so I say FUCK that shit. I'm not an experiment.

Needless to say, I'm in pretty constant pain in the lumbar, at the base where it meets my hips, occasionally in the hip joints themselves and finally that nasty tingle down the back of my legs to the soles of my feet.

I get epidural/steroid shots maybe every 6 months on L4-L5 and S1 sometimes too. They shoot my hips up every so often when the pain there becomes unbearable.

For daily maintenance, I use a support belt most days. When the belt doesn't help, I'll take a single tramadol (50). To get some restful sleep, I'll take a gabapentin (300) just before bed.

Anyway, good luck to you... just wanted to let you know that I can empathize with your fucked up back.

PS. I've had 3 wives.... cigareets & whiskey & wild, wild, women did it to me!!!!
