The danger is not Trump. It is the people that show up to his rallies - a generation of people that were educated by a system controlled by local school boards.
Religious ignorance and racial bigotry all gravitated toward the Republican Party. Now the Party has become the home of ignorance where people boo a gay soldier in Iraq, deny science, create their own facts and view everything as a conspiracy.
Yes, we need to keep Trump out of the white house, but that doesn't solve the problem. We have a poorly educated citizenry. the Ol'Buzzard
