DAM NEWS AND LIFE IN WEST.......

I haven't been around much lately...Babs came down for the weekend..and is staying till Tuesday morning...all we did this weekend was eat, watch TV and uh...sleep...Today is my final day as the fill in Librarian..I will go in on a volunteer basis and will host the Halloween party but my days as the go to Granny are over...Will miss it..but know it was just a matter of time before I went off on someone..or slipped and said something a lot worse then 'smart ass'....Plus Nancy will do a good job and I don't mind going up there and helping her out..Plus there are plenty of things for me to do around here..let things slide while filling in up there..need to do laundry, go back to the House of Satan and get them to redo my glasses..I tried..but that damn line is just to far down and it's driving me nuts..

My Aunt Leola called me..they are going to have the family reunion on Nov. 11th... want to go and got a phone call from one of my cousins last night and he wanted to make sure I was going..He lives in Arkansas and said he wasn't going to drive all that way if I wasn't going to be there..So now I need to call some of my other cousins and see if they are going...we are all so anti-social..we want to see each other but none of us want to get out of the house to do it..

I took some pumpkins up to the library and had the Builders Club kids carve them..and let me tell you..those are 2 of the uglies pumpkins you have ever seen..will have to take some pictures..I have one more but I want to carve it ..I love carving pumpkins..I want to do one so that it looks like it is throwing up it's guts..with the innards hanging out of its mouth.

NASA TO SEARCH ARACHIVES FOR 1965 UFO INCIDENT

NASA has agreed to search it's archives once again for documents on a 1965 UFO incident in Pennsylvania, a step the space agency fought in federal court. The government has refused to open its files about what, if anything, moved across the sky and crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pa., 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.The Air Force's explanation for the unidentified flying object; a meteor or meteors.

Chertoff Blasts Fake Press Event...

I'm sure you all have read or heard about this already...where this schmuck from FEMA gave a press conference to:FEMA employees acting as reporters...The agency arranged to have FEMA employees play the part of reporters at the event Tuesday and question Vice Adm.Harvey Johnson, the deputy director.

"I think it was one of the dumbest and most inappropriate things I've seen since I've been in government," Michael Chertoff said Saturday...(Can't be any dumber than any one of the speeches that Bush gives on any day of the week...'doing a good job brownie.'and 'children's are learning.'

HOLY SHIT!

This is going to be fast and furious..I'm at the library will have to be working here for awhile...Henrietta had a heart attack last Friday and I'm it..So far she is fine, but they also discovered a spot on her lung and liver and that's not good..she's an 8 year survivor from lympnode cancer and it could be scar tissue..we don't know..but last I heard she was complaining about being hungry..so I'm sure she will soon be back here bitching at me because I entered a new patron wrong...
plus..this afternoon I got "pee wee" in the mail..I'm so excited..it's a gift from his lordship nitwit...It's Pee Wee Live....I got to watch about 5 minutes of it before I had to come to the library...it's all I can think of...I will watch it instead of those sweaty guys in prison when I get home at 7pm..Pee Wee may not be as cute and sexy as them...but he's a hell of a lot funnier..and I'm at the age where funny is mo'better then sexy ...Anyone that wants to send Henrietta Meurer a get well card she is in Hillcrest Baptist Hospital 3000 Herring Avenue in Waco, Texas 76708...room #400..

Well...have to run..have a bunch of books to shelve and it's 5pm and need to go to the back room and eat some eggplant lasagna I brought up here from home.no microwave so it'll be cold..

THE CARPET DOESN'T MATCH THE DRAPES

I dyed my hair red..Why is it, that my hair color never comes out looking like the lady on the box?...She has this lovely strawberry blond Doris Day hair cut...I dyed my hair last night and it is the same color as....well, I don't think there is actually a color of red as the red on my head...I forgot about dying it this morning and when I went to brush my teeth I nearly had a heart attack..I thought my head was bleeding..It's not that maroon red that Shady Lane refers to as "motherfucker red"...it's more of a ....I swear to the Goddess I can't come up with a red that color..I may have invented a new color..it's more of a "what the fuck? red"...yup..that's what it should say instead of Auburn..it should say "WHAT THE FUCK RED"..can't wait to show your neighbors your new hair color so they can say "what the fuck?"...as if my life isn't interesting enough..now I have hair that will stop traffic and scare small children..

Yesterday as I was 'fixin' to close the library down Anessa came by with Devon(the ball playing kid)...and said.."I'm on my way to work and Devon want's to go to your house, is that ok?"..
duh?...and since I'm not a fast liar..I said.."Uh, ok...sure"...thinking to myself(motherfucking shit)..So I take Devon who is a great kid..don't get me wrong..but I have raised my kids and the grandkids are grown now too..I don't want to hang out with a 13 year old..and Devon says 8 words a day...good morning and good night being 2 of them(eat, drink, where's the bathroom and thanks being the others)...anyhow..it's Sat. I like to go garage sale hunting..so I do..Devon sits in truck reading his book..which is fine with me..I bought a pink cushion seat($3) for little girls with Princess on it for Annie..(who wouldn't sit on it if the rest of the house was on fire)a box full of picture frames..all really really nice...for $2..and a glass vanity tray with pewter handles on it for .30cents..It's beautiful..and so not me...but it's purty..and will probably end up giving it to one of the granddaughters..Come back to the house..where Devon's true reason for coming becomes apparent."Can I use your computer?"....so I explain everything to him and then I go do what I would go anyhow..read, watch tv...I had to eat so had to feed him too...Several times I asked him if he was ready to go home..hint fucking hint(reminder to self..kids don't take hints)...nope..he's happy as a clam..so finally when it is time for me to eat dinner and I'm not feeding him again..I say.."It's time for you to go home"...and I take him home..now to the reason for this semi-bitch...I eat, get on computer..up pops im's from about 6 kids..what the fuck?..I don't have im..it bogs down my computer...well, I do now..Devon has taken it upon himself to download the im dealyflopthingy to get im's...My ass hit the ceiling about 2 seconds after my head did..Who the fuck does this kid think he is..and didn't he ever listen to his Daddy when he was telling him about the asses I used to kick?..Does he think 'cause I'm an old lady my ass kicking abilities have weaken and left him immune to my converse....I think not...so me and Devon are going to have a little heart to heart...where he is going to learn a life lesson....don't fuck with little old lady's ..no matter now nice they may seem...

The $107,440.76 donation, dated DEc. 18, pushed the library's hope chest above $3000,000, all from Mr. Bush and donors from previous campaigns..
(so let me get this straight....................he's been planning the GWB Library since he took office, as that is what all presidents do...and so far they have raised just over $300,000 and it's all his money....Oh happy day...this is hysterical...how funny is that...)
Other donations thta might have come in remain secret.(Who the fuck wants anyone to know that they gave money for a library for a President ..who can't fucking read.)..There is no law requiring presidentail libraries to disclose funding sources, though some gifts do come to light because the donors themselves, in this case, the Governor Bush Committee-are subject to state or federal disclosure laws.
In October, Mr. Bush sent $194,904 left from his 2004 re-election effort. The Bush-Cheney committee reported the donation in early January to the Federal Election Commission.
A search Tuesday of federal records and those filed with the Texas Ethics Commission(what a joke THAT is) showed no other donations to the library...(no doh!)
The site selection committee led by longtime Bush friend Don Evans, has yet to start working to raise money, said spokesman Taylor Griffin. (Yeah, let me see the list they are going to work from...fired, oops, in jail, oops, fired, good job brownie, ooops in jail...)
Southern Methodist University has been the sole finalist for the library since December.(and Baylor University is still pissed..although I am happy as a fat lady with chocolate)
Philanthropy experts and officials at other presidential libraries say donors generally seek recognition. And libraries built by former presidents have voluntarily identified most,, but not all, donors.
"We're at an early stage in a multiyear process, and those decisions will come later," Mr. Griffin said. Ahh, I love bipping on ole George..he's such a easy target...mabye I'm just in a good mood, because we got rain all night long and are expecting more...I love Texas when it rains...especially in the Spring..when there is always the promise of bluebonnets right around the corner..My little front yard is full of birds feeding from my feeders, and I'm so excited..I have a pair of cardinals...it's not my old pair of cadinals..but they are fat and red and beautiful....
I am still walking with Margaret..every day but Sunday...I don't get out of my BuBu that Shady Lane sent me all day on Sunday...BuBu's are a African dress...with the most beautiful pattern and colors...it comes with a scarf to make one of those lovely turban hats..but since I don't have the puffy afro the African women have..my scarf spends a lot of time on the back of my chair after it slides off my head(this one is sort of like the one I have except mine is dark black with yellow and green and orange.)...Lane gets them at her African Drum Dance classes she takes each week...She is getting better at her solo's and I can't wait to go visit her this summer and see her in action..remember Shady is like 1 1/2 years younger than me..she takes boxing lessons, does (or did) cardio-funk and gave up booze for Lent..so I don't suggest anyone fuck with my Shady lane..she told me in one email she had a lot of pent up anger(she's from New Jersey/New York)and is just itching to kick someone's ass...I have a feeling the next rich yuppy that cuts her off in traffic is going to get a serious bipping...which is actually where I got the term bipping..She showed me the difference between bipping, smacking, slugging, punching and belting ..using my kids when they were younger to do so...I cracked up...Dave, Thom and Mojo weren't all that thrilled with the demonstration..But we have all passed down the bipping ...All I have to do with Jenny and Jamie is say:"Come here."...and they both start laughing and say.."no bipping, no bipping.".
Yup...I'm in such a good mood....fuck me till I giggle..
