Some of my earliest TV memories involve Dave Letterman. I had a babysitter who would let me stay up and watch him, and I have memories of the writer's strike (when I was 4 or 5!), when he'd waste time making toast for his audience.

I haven't watched him in years, but like with Stewart and Leno, it's hard to believe he won't be around anymore.

It's the end of an era alright.

Having gone to college in Indiana - back in Dave's prime - I saw a lot of him.

I hope he enjoys his retirement - he really got to meet a lot of folks during his career!

I watched Dave religiously for years, then I got old and couldn't stay up that late. I taped the finale though and was so happy I did. I'm going to miss that funny fucker!
