the first picture down at the bottom ins my grandson Scott. That's Thom's step son..He just turned 21..first time I saw him he was about 2 years old I think...
Great pictures of Jamie in her Czech costume..She looked so beautiful. She was so tired. Worked over 10 hours on Wed and Thursday she worked 12 1/2.
All of the dolls, and plates are from Czechoslovakia..Some of the ladies bring all the stuff up so everyone could see them. Lots of pictures of West back in the day.First Westfest ...lots of interesting stuff and Bonnie and Louis and several others commented on each of the pictures so I got a lot of information. I kept thinking when I had the booth that I had made more cake balls, counted and had made over 300..when I got back to the apt. found 2 bowls full of them that I had left in the frig..sigh*..So today I gave some to my closest neighbors, went by Post Office and let them some, stopped by DR. C's office and left some for them too. Then took the rest back to West Haven. Shared with the nurses and aides. They do such great jobs.
OH.....I have Goddess news. A week or so ago I was coming home and saw this guy walking carrying some groceries..he ..didn't look strong..so I asked him if he wanted a ride and then took him home..Not out of the way at all. He mentioned that he was healing from a broke neck and back, so gave him my phone number and said if he needed a ride again to call me..Never thought more about it...So yesterday in the midst of making cake balls, he calls and needs to go to Hillsboro to pick up a u-haul truck and would give me $20 for gas. Ho-ray..I'm sitting on empty. The red light is flashing empty. He needs a ride and I need gas. So we go to Skinny's and he goes to pump the gas. I say I can do it, I pump my gas all the time. He said no, he'd do it. We're talking and I look up and it says $25 and still going..I freaked ..said your over the $20 mark, that's too much. He laughed and said lets see how dry she is..I said she's dry, flashing red light dry. HE FILLED UP MY TANK. $50 plus change. I almost cried in the middle of Skinny's parking lot. Told him he could get a ride from me anytime he wanted...forever. I can't remember the last time I had a full tank of gas. He said God brought us together to help each other, I said I thought it was the Goddess. Later on when I thought about it I figured they were both up there going "assholes, we're trying to cure cancer here and could care less about what you two are up to."...So ...yesterday was a great day. Life is good.

I love the costumes. Wonder if they will ever be in style instead of the ugly stuff we have today.
Seeing these pictures makes me wonder why I don't volunteer at one of the many local homes for the aged.
Looks like Little WestFest rocked! And how nice of that guy to fill your tank -- but how nice of you to give him a ride in your truck -- one good deed deserves another.
Oh yeah, love that kid with the googly balloon eyes, or whatever the hell they are, LOL!
You are the best!
Angels...walk amongst us! :0)
I love you! I just love you. I love how every single thing brings you so much joy, except the things that piss you off. :)
In an age where most people are scared to even look at a stranger, you'll pick one up and give him your number. You're one of a kind, girl.
Love these pics!!! And I loved that I had been there now!!! Was that Jamie in the trad Czech dress?
oh man I had so much fun..but paying for it..Frodo Foot is back..feck
Hmm.. instead of cupid shooting an arrow - perhaps he shot a tank of gas...
;)
The nurses at West Haven prolly think YOU do a great job - and are a blessing and then some... which you are.
Love the man and the gas story, you are amazing.
Great photos!
