JackieSue--Lordy, girl, that was SOME post ! Had to go thru it a 2nd time. The first time I just read them, the 2nd time I said "my piece" regarding each one. I totally agreed with everyone--Thank you !
Oh, my, Lordy, YES there is certainly are major Red areas in Calif. Orange County is just one. Up here, this county where I'm at, is still "good ole boy", we dont take to anything different" area. 30 yrs ago I was told, during a job interview--"we think minimum wage is good enough for a woman"-does that explain what I mean? I walked out, not giving 30+ yrs experience for min.wage. There was a guy running around in his very old, very battered truck, waving a confederate flag claiming (via bumper stickers) a whole host of people who should be stung up/put in jail/etc. Since his license plate was from Oklahoma The Mr. asked if we could add "Okie's go home" It's a sad, sometimes very sick world we're forced to live my senior years in !!
Sierra Sue that is awful..I expect shit like that in Texas but not Calif..I used to live in Costa Mesa and Huntington beach and spent 4 months working in San Francisco..I got married in Stockton and lived there for a while..only thing I miss is some friends that still live there..although most of them are dead now..I think San francisco is a great place to visit.and Ole Buzzard ..you have to work up to the sandwich...
JackieSue--We were both born and raised in OC. I think we were the only "blue" people in Orange County most of our lives. Costa Mesa/Huntington Beach/ahh what great memories for us. Yes, we miss a few friends from down there, but NEVER discuss you-know who ! We had NO idea things were the way they are up here. After this many years here, we are 'looking elsewhere" as they say. Keep up your great site, LOVE IT !
