It's official ...I'm of mixed race..hahahah

 so, here I am.. this is who I am.

I am.......31.6 English, 19.8 Iberian, 18.4 Irish Scottish, Welsh,18.0 Scandinavian,3.1 Finnish, 5.1 Nigerian, and 4.0 North African. Isn't that grand? Only race I miss is Asian. When and where the fuck did my people do that they collected all this DNA? I have a picture of this English dude fucking his way around the world. I actually was the most surprised at the Iberian. Who knew...not me.. ever. I always figured there was some sort of African blood in me. There had to be...I think almost everyone does. But man, wouldn't that just shock the fuck out of my racist grandpa. That would have killed him..

yup.. some drunk sailor fucking his way around the globe...I'm going to call him...Trevor.

oh, and my mother was a Frankenfield and I had lost touch with all of them. And by finding my DNA and others related to me.. I have reconnected with them. Thru a great niece...ain't THAT grand.

There's a problem: Can't read the words because they're in dark blue against a black background. Please fix. (The one with picture of map)

@whimsy2,
just highlight the blue text, then you'll see it on a white background.

I bet your Iberian ancestor was a sailor in the Spanish Armada which tried to invade England a few hundred years ago in the time of Elizabeth I. He probably deserted, or got captured, and that's how he ended up in England having kids. It would make a good story, wouldn't it!

I always have trouble reading the text in yellow, granted I probably just need to turn the brightness down!

I'm going to have to fix the color from here on out. You guys should have spoke up sooner. duh..
Debra that's even a better idea. I like that. Now have to come up with a good Iberian name. Diego...yeah, that's better.

tried to fix it but kept coming back as yellow..so will do better next time. Thanks for letting me know.

This is so cool. I'd love to have a DNA test run but it reveals too much to whomever they sell the results to. Not about you but about your family. My kids don't want me too.

I'd bet it was a Finn who got around. There are a lot of people have done the 23 and Me DNA testing and discovered they were anywhere from a couple percent to 10 or 20 percent Finnish when to their knowledge they have no Finnish ancestors at all. A friend whose family goes back multiple generations in the Ozarks and thought she was mostly Scots-Irish has Finnish DNA, and I've read that the singer and actress Vanessa Williams is part Finnish. She learned that through DNA testing for that show on PBS with Henry Louis Gates.

Trevor, I think I knew him. That's what drunk sailors do. When asked your race you should list it Multinational.

There was a rumor in my family line about a 1/4 Cherokee grand grand. And, when I did the DNA thing I found, Scottish, English, Welsh, Irish, German, French. And, nothing else. Oh well rumors aren't always a thing.

I am northern European and eastern European and not much else. You are a much more colorful tapestry. Are you going to spend any time tracing Trevor and his friends and lovers?
