ON NO THERE GOES TOKIO ROAD..go go Godzilla

Tokio Road being my address. Naturally I put the pictures in backwards...the ones at the bottom are the first pictures and on up to the top ones..duh!...I'm lucky I can remember my name with what's going on...Every morning at 8 a.m. I get woke up to 3 of those CAT machines roaring up and down the parking lot and right out side my window. They stop at noon for lunch and they quit at 5 p.m. Although today to get ready for the concrete pouring they worked till 6:30 to lay out the re-bar.
Today I had to tip toe across the red dirt to go to the store. Plus I'm parked in Bumbuck Egypt..so it's pretty tricky to get around.
I'm going to be apartment bound for a few days. Don't know for sure how long it takes the concrete to dry enough for me to walk on . They're pouring tomorrow morning. What a fecking mess.
Babs is going to motel tomorrow and I think after listening to them rip off her roof and then start putting new roof on she and the cats are ready to bail. I think they should have sent us to the motels for 6 weeks and then let us back in when it was all finished. Some of these little ole ladies are freaking out. I on the other hand have been making it my life's work to make life miserable for the fuckers. The super came by this afternoon to tell me that they were going to be pouring the concrete and I wouldn't be able to walk on it or get out and mine was going to be worse than the others as my porch has steps and they have to build up the walkway to get rid of the steps. I'm thinking ...wow, how sweet...then I thought a minute and said 'wait a minute..your not doing this to be nice, your doing this to cover your ass, so I won't get pissed and go off on your ass.'...he grinned and said 'well, there is that.'...
I have 2 family reunions to go to and neither one of them are actually my family's. Friday is the Maler family reunion..Maler's are kin to me by my step mother. Considering that both she and my Daddy are gone, they legally aren't kin..but I'm very very found of them and Anissa is a Maler, so I'm going to go. Saturday is the Oden's Christmas party and I'm not kin to them at all. Although David's x-wife calls me her sister-cousin. The kids are like mine and i love their babies. So I'll go to that too. Although if I'm still surrounded by wet concrete I may not be able to go anywhere.
Oh..and I went out last Sunday with my old running buddies..Anissa, Kim, Gayle, Kandis & Sylvia. They were at Wolf's and Anissa called me to come down. I was surprised because I hadn't seen Gayle in years and years and her daughter is the one that started calling me 'Aunt Grandma.' and I really do love her. So I got there about 2..we laughed, and laughed some more..It was a blast. Then they decided we needed to to to Tokio Store, so I drove Anissa so she wouldn't have to worry about driving and drinking. Tokio Store is a great little place with lots of character, but let me tell you..the floors in that place are dangerous..they lean, they tilt, they bend, they and not sturdy at all. All the tables and chairs and benches are ass to ass, and you'd have to see us to appreciate how hard for us to get in and out..it wasn't the asses so much as it was the tits..Gayle, Kim and Anissa are sisters...they are busty..to say the least. And I'm no slouch in the tits department ..so watching us maneuver among the tables trying to keep from putting peoples eyes out or knocking over drinks when we leaned forward was hysterical. For the first time in my life..I had the smallest rack...that never happens. I had told my favorite line about no booze, no smokes, no sex...and if you saw me smoking and drinking you know I just got laid. Well, I'm looking at the very very cute singer in the band and said for him I'd smoke a cigarette and have a beer. When they quit playing they came over to sit with us as Mike M.(Kandis's dad was sitting with us and he plays with the band ) and when they sat down someone said 'who was it you wanted to have sex with ?' and I pointed at him and we all started laughing..he wanted to know what was going on ..so I told him what I had said and if he happened to be around when I turn 70..I might be interested....He said why wait and acted like he was going to crawl across the table for me. My first thought was 'fuck, someone just called my bluff.'...I convinced him to wait till I was 70...and then told him since I'd be 70 when this all went down he might want to get some insurance cause I might hurt him...I was home by 6:30, had a wonderful time, saw old friends and didn't have a hangover the next day. live is good in West, by Goddess, Texas.

Looks like you're living in Big CAT Country for awhile.

You are a pistol, YDG, a pistol! I hope those cats don't keep you trapped indoors. I mean Dexter and Nitty of course! The big yellow Cats you'd just kick out of the way . . . .

At least concrete drying is quite.

What a mess! You're right they should have put you up till the whole thing was finished, what a pain.
Had to giggle at the tit maneuvering story.

I think you should at least put your initials in the concrete!

At least you didn't call the Cat machines "bulldozers" like the idiot talking heads on TV. Anything that moves dirt is a bulldozer to them, even if it is a backhoe or excavator or front-end loader. The concrete should be hard enough to walk on the next day. It'll take several days or longer to be hard enough to drive on.

operating one of those things always seemed like a dream job to me. have a few drinks at lunch, climb into the machine and destroy everything in sight.

It's a backhoe. =)

Is there only one entrance to your place? WTF?! Curl up with a stack of books while your cement is drying and relax for awhile.

Damn, I hate it for you. One year my shitpipe crushed due to old age and we had to dig up the whole damn yard and replace it before I could take a dump in my own home again. Hard Times.

Can't take all this in at one go. Will be back. Absolutely brilliant. So much stuff. How do you find the time or is it your living?
