I know when we went thru Canada in 1968 I was ..wow, look at that pretty lake, oh man, that lake is so pretty..look ..a huge lake..after the 3rd day I was 'what the fuck is it with all the lakes?'

Yes, we have a gazillion lakes in Canada alright. Licence plates in Manitoba used to say "Land of 100,000 Lakes." And that was just in ONE province!
