I had cat scan with dye and I feel like hammered shit...see you Monday.

Have to stay with feet up and drink lots of fluids. That dye is wrecking my body, hurts like a mother fucker. Nothing goes easy with me. I had to lay on my stomach to have dye inserted in my spine and with scar tissue from 4 back surgeries it was not easy. Plus I have big boobies and laying on my stomach is not a position I'm used to being in. So I turn over and one boob is under my chin and the other one is in my arm pit. So I'm adjusting the girls and because I'm old and all parts of me are old, ever time I rolled over or moved from one bed to the other I farted. So it was like a fucking circus, juggling my  tits and farting at ever move. I kept blaming it on the dog. Go to pain management next week and should find out the results of the cat scan. I'm pretty sure I don't get points taken off for the farting.

It sounds like a real ordeal. Hope you get some good results out of it! In the meantime, take it easy and rest.

Omg,Jackiesue, what an image you paint. THAT’S entertainment! 😂🤣😂 I’m sorry you’re going through all this but if it ultimately gives those docs the information they need to help you, it will be worth it. (Just keep repeating that to yourself.) Large breasts have minds of their own, don’t they? No losing points for farting but they might have questioned the imaginary farting dog 🤭.
Feet up and let the “girls” fall where they may. Hydrate…this too shall pass 💪❤️

You and the girls need some rest! And there's nothing wrong with gaseous diffusion, it helps keep things moving.

Take care, ma'am. We love your posts!

Oh my gosh! What an ordeal. Whenever I have a cat scan with the dye, I throw up. Every time. At least you didn't puke...or did you?

In any case take care and feel better soon!

The first time I had the dye, I just about died: enormous allergic reaction. I remember thinking 'If this is dying, it's not so bad' as I started to slide away. The second time I warned them (wasn't sure about what exactly had been the cause the first time). After the scan, I started to be short of breath, they looked at me with some consern, said I should go down (walk by yourself) to admittance, so I did. Where some chatty cheerful woman wanted to fill in lotsa little details in boxes, while my breath was getting shorter and my mind was dissolveing into white noise AND WOULD YOU PLEASE GET ME SOME H.E.L.P. BEFORE i CROAK.
Aging is so much fucking fun. Like a bad picture show that you wish at times you could get up and leave. Shithead Woody Allen whom I loathe had a good line: "I'm not afraid of dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens"

You roll with the punch (if you can); what else is there to do?

When I was a year old, my mother was almost totally paralyzed:polio. Things can always be worse, but love and spirit can persist and triumph. Courage is not just about testosteronic upper body strength. Growing up, taking care of my mother, seeing my parents' love for each other I saw Hemingway's definition of courage: grace under pressure.

Hang in there; we're rooting for you.

Oh, my poor lady. Even with all of your pain you still manage to give us a laugh. Have as restful a weekend as you can.

OMG! That is so funny. I hated the dye too. I have decided I won't be having any more surgeries unless it's for my knees. Fuck my back. I'll live with it. My knees, I need them to walk my ass to the store.
Stay safe and well my dear.

Dr. Google says you'll be OK in 24 hours.
"The plasma half-life of intravenously administered iodinated contrast medium is approximately two hours, with nearly 100% of the media cleared from the bloodstream within 24 hours."

That sounds awful, what is the dye for? What are they hoping to find? Or not find?
