they like me..they really like me..or at least my pie.

this isn't the championship pie..it was perfect..this one is a litlle dark..I got side tracked and forgot the fucker was in the overn..derp!...But I won best pie in the 'other' division(fruit, berry and cream were the other divisions) and then won over all best pie..I was shocked..but so happy..Like I told everyone..I acted like it was no big deal..but I really wanted to win that sucker..ha. Babs was not worried at all..I was freaking out..(deep inside where no one could see, I'm way to cool to show fear, panic, or nerves.) I won a $10 certificate and a $25 certificate for Cafe Vin. So took Babs out that evening to celebrate my win..Cost $35.14..ha..The auctioned all the pies off and mine went for $17.50 I think .which is actually the cheapest one has ever gone for..When I would give my pecan pies to be auctioned off they went as high as $50..But all the money went to the main street project which is cool.The guy that was doing the m.c.ing was bidding on my pie and lost out, so I told him I'd bring him one..that's this pie in the picture. Plus I'm going to make one for Jeanne (owner of Pizza House and Gerik's Bakery)..she's always giving Babs and I treats so thought it would be nice to make her a dessert for a change. My friend Christopher wants one too, but I'm going to start telling people, you want one of my pecan pies, your going to have to pay for the ingredients..it takes almost 2 sticks of butter between the crust and the filling. 3 eggs, sugar, kayro etc. Adds up..and we all know I'm a poor little ole widder woman.snort*.
anyhow..I'm a happy camper...I won.
