We would sacrifice several virgins and our governor for a nice shower about now.

maybe that's why we have no more rain...

no virgins and the governor is wily about only one thing...survival..

It's raining here finally too. We've had fire bans and extremely dry conditions. When you're surrounded by trees, it's a welcome thing, a little rain! Of course, I just put a barrel of rain water on my ferns this morning so now they'll likely rot.

I know! We had rain here too. Off and on for the past few days. We are even over for the amount of rainfall for the month and have knocked 3 inches off of our deficit for the year (still have to make up for the 15 inches we lost last year though).

I hope it rains again for you soon. I always forget how much I love the sound of it.

No rain in sight here... but thanks for the momentary excitement with your pretty rain pictures. Oh, and thanks too my dear Granny for the great advice today at my place. Your comment put Doug off his feed :)

We got two inches here in Atlanta yesterday. Think the annual total is still over 4 inches behind where it should be so we're still officially in a drought.
