I AM WOUNDED

I went to Dr. E today...he looked at me sitting in his office with my socks and shoes off and gently said 'I don't do toes.'...But he did say it was an infected corn on my right pinkie toe and they made me an apt. with the ' Foot Dr.' who comes to West once a month..I believe he comes in on the stage coach, and says over at Miss Kitty's Saloon for the night. I could go to Waco and see a foot Dr. there, but probably not before our traveling Foot Dr. gets here, so I will take the antibiotics that he gave me and stay off of it for 2 days..Which is a boon as my ass is wore out anyhow..I think the reason I have the corn is from all the fucking walking I have been doing the past 3 weeks putting up stock..Why did that just occur to me?...sigh* I was going to let Babs take me to go get the Wed. West paper and pick up my script but opted out for a nap instead..naps are good...I slept really good til Annie discovered the empty boxes and decided to play 'crazy kitty' for about 30 minutes right as I was napping. I had left the TV turned to the Food Channel and woke up to the screeching of Paula Deane..Judas priest that woman's voice is like nails on a chalk board...I turn the TV off the second she says "y'all" and when Rachael Rae says "evoo"...I wanna bip her too. Can you tell I'm grumpy?..Being an old fart (even with the tabu) does not agree with me. I'm reading a really good book called The Eight, and I am really enjoying it..but it's a paperback and the print is so small I'm about to throw it in the garbage..I may call Nancy at the library and see if she can't get the same book from the Waco Library in large print, or at least in hardback, before I go blind trying to read this small print. I have caught up on most of the books I have been wanting to read. The Steven Koontz book, the Stephen King short stories, Jeffery Deaver, Robin Cook, David Balducchi(SPELLING)..They were all really good..except for the Robin Cook one...I have started it 3 different times and still end up putting it down. Also finished the Gate House and I fecking loved that book. Also waiting not so patiently for Patrick Rothfuss's new book too...Inky didn't come to work today....he said he was 'sick'....uh....kay!...I think he knew Tom was coming and going to give him a lecture and he didn't want to deal with it..He's like a kid sometimes. Well, this post just couldn't get any more boring..so if you want some fun..go over to Kevin's blog..he's posted 3 of the funniest post in a long time..If you have even cut your tongue on ribbon candy, you really have to go read his post on ribbon candy..Cracked my ass up...ok..I'm starting to bore myself...I need another nap. I love you all and promise to better next time..maybe I'll throw in some stumbles to make up for it...

You've been working too hard, Jackie Sue! You've got to get off your feet!

Paula Deen drives me crazy, too. How in the hell did she ever get a TV show? Her or Rachel Ray? Can't stand either of them!

I could watch Rachel Ray for hours and hours...of course I always have the sound turned off on my TV.

*Hugs* Hope you get that foot looked after really soon - you got to rest up and then get into training for the next West festival.

I loved the Dog on Acid... LMAO!

Aw woman, that shit about the toe sucks. Have had foot issues off and on since my teens, largely bunyans and callus-related issues though. If you're not allergic to the stuff, maybe Neosporin/TAO would help.
One of the reasons I don't get into novels like I used to. I'd "borrow...for a good cause" my boss's 8" desktop glass paperweight and send it to you if I had your address, except that even though it magnifies everything 20x, the fucker weighs about a ton and a half, and if it fell on your foot you'd never walk again.

I'm glad you're taking it easy.

Watch lots of bad movies while you're laid up and them do movie reviews. ;-)

I mentally tune out paula and rachel...rachel now reminds me of palin, only she can cook.

But bip me silly if I wouldn't eat their food. Shit, paula's especially, and even more especially if its a dessert show.

As for your stumble about translating clients wants and needs...that is so fkn true. Try working with brides and their flowers. I used to have a contract that they had to sign with a witness that said "flowers are natural items and may differ in color" Some brides just didn't get it. Ugh especially brides moms.

And I especially dislike the fact that I had to use the word especially so much.

OH go check out the asshole who left a comment on my latest blog. I left it up in hopes I could verbally beat the crap out of him.

OK I am missing the spunk of your writing. Your spunk gone up and left so take a nap and rest. I love you. Be well my friend.

PS. I like it in the basement, no one bothers me and I have cable.

I see your toe is smart, definitely smarter than a Repugnican.

Take care of yourself, I have a cousin with diabetes whose Indian name is now 'Lonefoot' because he had problems with his feet.

I used to like Paula Deen and Rachael Ray but now I just find them irritating.

I have been doing nuffin'....it feels good..slept till 8:30 this morning..that was nice...But this is as close to being depressed as I have ever been in my life..or to the point that I notice it..I like health problems that I can control..stuff with my feet because of the diabetes is not somehing I have a handle on and that sorta freaks me out.
But there is some happy news for me. I had said that the cowboys needed to fire a bunch of people and of the list of people that I said they should fire.? they have fired 2 of them ..the special teams coach and pacman..now if they will get rid of greg ellis, flozell adams, T.O., Tank Johnson, Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett, I'll be batting a hundred. Looks like Jason will be taking a head coaching job so that will help...2 down 6 to go..hell, they should make me coach. I don't know jack about the fundamentals but I could motivate their asses ..

Alcohol I'm sure is out of the question. But perhaps you need some Apple Corn!

HAving feet problems is the worst. If your feet feel good, you feel good. I hope the foot doctors rides his pony in to see you soon.

You KNOW you need to be extra careful with foot problems!..don't make me bip you.
The yellowdog on acid was a nice pick. :)

I have a huge bunion on my right foot, so i can really sympathize with you. The foot doc comes to our town monthly too....but on a snowmobile these days. I liked the lesbian stumble.

Ahhh I have missed you! You never fail to make me smile and laugh out loud!

Having said that, take care of your darn self will ya! And name the bunion "Paul" and take care of it so we don't have to rename you "Peg"...k?

K. should have her CSA (organic veggie) website up soon, I'll link you then!

Take care of you! We are hauling shitloads of shit so I'm in and out but I love that I can always count on you for a giggle!

When I saw this post title "I'm Wounded" why was my first thought "Oh shit, Jackie's been in a gunfight?!"

Take care of your tootsies, hon!

ouch :( a corn is bad enough, but an infected corn is horrid. Isnt there something that you could put on it to make it feel better?

I guess you non-foot dr would have advised you if there was something.
Take care of yourself!

The Saints are making some good cuts too.

feet are the second most important part of the body. you better look after them.

Good Afternoon YellowDog Granny,

The Long Branch was in Dodge City Kansas, meeting the doctor in Waco would be a much shorter trip.

Hope you feel better soon.

Sores on feet and diabetes are not a good combination. Take advantage of being off your feet to find more of those inspiration posters. They totally crack me up because the originals were so [looking for an adjective bad enough to describe them] I have added bat shit insane to my list of insults, most of which have come from this blog.
