.......1968..NOT A GOOD YEAR, I DON'T CARE WHAT FRANK SAYS

You know what? this is the 9th time I have tried to post about my life for this year..and I can't do it...Too much happened..it was the last year before I started really doing drugs and I can look back and see where I made my etiquette mistake..when I took the wrong fork in the road...but having to relive it here for you...well, fuckit..can't do it..too painful..so there!
The world wasn't having a very good year either..The North Korean's took 83 sailors prisoners and held them as spies aboard the Pueblo. They have always been nasty little fuckers..
The My Lai massacre happened, the Tet offensive occured and was a turning point in the war..Think ALL people were finally beginning to see t
hat this war was bad and we needed to bring our kids home.
Martin Lu
ther King Jr., was slain in Memphis by
James Earl Ray. It was such a horrible time.(In Portland, a group of black kids and young men were going down Powell Blvd. making their presence known...The Palm Gardens was on Powell and I spent the entire day waiting for them to come bursting in the door...They didn't get that far, and I have to let you know, I was really scared.Al P. my boss hired protection for me...that was a big deal...)James Earl
Ray was captured in London and
indicted for murder. He plead guilty and was sentenced to 99 years.
As if that wasn't enough, Robert F. Kennedy was shot and critical
ly wounded in Los Angles after winning the Calif. primary. He died the next day. Sirhan Sirhan was caught immediately after the shooting and was convicted for the crime in 1969. He is still in prison. James Eear Ray died a few years back after recanting his plea and insisting he was innocent of the shooting of Martin Luth-er King Jr.
The Ru
ssians invaded Czechoslovakia and Warsaw Pact forces crush liberal regime..Not a good year..
I know that th
e music didn't make it better, but it helped..We had Aretha singing about the 'Chain of Fools'...'Build Me Up Buttercup' by the Foundation was a big hit, and Sly and The Family Stone made us'Dance to the Music'.After Dione Warwick's hit we all knew the way to Jan Jose. Hugh Masekela had a great instrumental out called'Grazzin In The Grass', damn, I love that song..Jeannie C. Riley had a cross over hit with 'Harper Valley P.T.A.' and ohhhhhh, the Doors.....'Hello, I love You'....oh Jimmy boy, I love you too...Beatles had a bunch of hits 'Hey Jude, and Revolution'...and a song that my boss Al P. won money on...'Honey'.by Bobby Goldsboro..I came to work one day and 'boss' as I called him asked me to tell me what I thought of this new song that had just came out..and punched the juke box and 'honey' came on...Well, I listened to it and started crying like a baby....and boss walked over to one of our regulars 'Dirty Larry' and said:"pay up." and Dirty Larry handed him $20. I'm still crying and sobbing:'what was that for?'..and boss said:"I bet him $20 that you would cry when you heard this song, and he said..nah, you were too much of a hard ass...and I knew better."....fuckers...
Diana Ross and the Supremes and The Temptations had a dual hit with "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me"...and Kenny Rogers and the First Edition had a mega hit with "Just Dropped in to see what conditi
on, my condition was in"...Yes, THAT Kenny Rogers...
Simon and Garfunkle wanted to know where Joe Dimagio went with "mrs. R
obinson"...oh, and another Beatle hit.."Lady Madonna." 'Love Child', by the Diana Ross and The Supremes. 'Mony Mony', by Tommy James and the Shondells. One of my favorite bands with one of my favorite songs'Susie Q' by Credence Clearwater Revival. One of the greatest singers ever died not long after this song became a big hit,Otis Redding's 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay'.and a silly song called 'Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da' by the Marmalade was a big hit.Ohhhh and Cream....with"Sunshine of your Love"...'Young Girl' by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. and last but not least..'Tighten Up' by Archie Bell and the Drells..1968 sucked, blew and bit...
Glad it's over...

2006, TODAY...1968 TOMORROW

WEST MEMORIAL

I have West News and Sooner News....Start with Sooner news first..he called me the other night to touch base and see how I was doing and to let me know how he was doing..He doing fine!! He is supposed to get the computer fixed and be on line by the beginning of the week...It's something about his modem doesn't want to have any thing to do with something else he got for the computer that is supposed to make it better..something about a firewall, virus protection and fuck I don't know...it don't work...he's fixing it..It will work soon..how's that?..He wants everyone to know he misses you and can't wait to get back to fucking with us...well, that's not an exact quote, but close..well, he didn't say anything like that, but I'm sure that's what he meant..or maybe not..aaaaaaaaanyhow...he will be back...
West news is:..I-35 is going to do
an expansion and will effect West, Texas...The had a meeting at Senior Citizen's Center and since most of the buildings are on the east side, the expansions will be on the west side of West...Which will be 3 gas stations and Shadowland Bar. Which means they will have to move..but I imagine that they will get plenty of money for their property..That will aslo effect the new Czech Inn as the front of the Inn is by the frontage road..so that will work out good for them...they had talked about doing a loop around West, but thank the Goddess they didn't go along with that...fuck, we would dry up and die with out that I-35 traffic..They also held an event at the Senior Center for vetrans ..They had people speaking and one gentleman got up and spoke about his memories of being at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese bombed them...I had an uncle who was there too...West is always having events for our vets and having ceremonies honoring them...Very proud of our little town ....The t-ball, softball, and baseball teams had their play offs and they gave out over 30 different awards to the winners...I can't tell you how many teams we have...from 5-6 years old all the way up to 16...girls and boys..and they are good..we are in tournaments all over Central Texas and we win...our girls are really good... The main reason I wanted to do the post on West, was because of our first 4th of July celebration...it was a huge hit...They had a great crowd, lots of kids, speaches by vets. I talked to several people that went and took their kids and they said it was just wonderful..had a child size train with cars for them to ride in that went all day long..a mule powered, canvas covered wagon for rides..all kinds of games for the kids..sack races, face painting, those bouncy games..and food out the ole wazoo...briskets, chicken, sausages(always sausages), ribs, every kind of salad known to man, burgers, tea, lemon ade and nope no booze...can't believe it..no booze and it was a hit...someone was spiking something I would bet on it..oh and don't forget the kolaches, pies, cakes, strudles, cookies and fudges....Since the paper has to have all the info in by Tuesday to go out for Wed. paper there wasn't much but pictures for the event..but I hope that by next week they will tell us how many were there, and how much money they made...I am sure if it did well, we'll have it every year and knowing West, they will get bigger and better...I went to the fireworks display and I was very pleased...it was a great show..lasted 45 minutes...not bad for our little town...
ok, this I stole from Granny and she stole from some one else...

.......1967..FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, THANK THE GODDESS, I'M FREE AT LAST

Some time during this year, not sure when I got my divorce...Paid for by me..Bob said he didn't want the divorce and if I wanted it I would have to pay for it..fucker...I was so anxious to get rid of the little Napoleonic asshole, that I didn't ask for child support..which when I look back on, was just one of many mistakes I made..but I was so intent on not being dependent on him...I would have done anything to rid myself of him..He came and got David for the occasional weekends, but wouldn't take Thom as he said he didn't change diapers and when he was potty trained he mighttake him too...big hearted of him...The boys grandparents rarely saw the boys..it's like when I divorced Bob I divorced all of them too...and they were kinda wishy washy about seeing the boys...for year after I left Oregon, Bob's mom would send cards with money for Christmas, birthdays etc...but they never made an effort to keep in touch with them...I am still working my ass off, but Sunday's were my day, I would work sat night at Palm Garden's and then my girlfriend Roxanne and I and a bunch of people would go to this blues after hours place and listen to the blues, take speed and wash it down with hot tea..or at least I did..(plus I didn't heed Roxie's warning about sitting on the toilet and got crabs, oh lord she never let me hear the end of it...we worked together and she would look at me and yawn and then scratch her crotch, and I would crack up and give her the finger))with all the hours I was working I found myself depending more on more on speed to keep me going...when we would get out of there about 6am or so I would go pick up David and Thom and we would go to the parks, to the zoo, where ever they wanted to go..Sunday was their day..was officially my only day off and spent every minute of it with them..then Monday I would start it all over again...but was making enough money by now that I could quit dancing and the nude modeling...they paid the most but also the hardest for me to do...So adventually I worked full time nights((6) at the Palms and part time days at the tavern...plus I was the catcher for the taverns 'mushball' team..don't know if you know what mushball is or not...but if not, it is exactly like softball, except the ball was a tad bigger and after about the 3rd inning it was a 'mushball'...we all were either employees of taverns or customers of the taverns..we had a league and we were pretty damn good..the last 4-5 games of the season our pitcher got hurt and I took over, and I some how had learned an underhanded over hand pitch that was impossible to hit and if you did..it went straight up in the air and was easy out..we won all of our games and won the tournament...I was a hero..I actually got carried off the field on their shoulders...and remember thinking...'fuckyoubob'....
1967 had
a lot of racial riots and wars in Israel...
3 Appolo Astronauts, Col. Virgil Grissom, Col. Edward WhiteII, and Lt.Cmdr. Roger B. Chaffee were killed in spacecraft fire during simul
ated launch...that was hard for all of us..Israel and Arab Forces fight the '6-day war' and ended up with Israel occupying Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip, and east bank of Suez Canal. Red China announced the explosion of its first Hydrogen bomb.
Racial violence in Detroit, 7,000 National Guards were called in to aid the police after a night of rioting. Similar out breaks of violence
occured in New York City, Spanish Harlem, Rochester,N.Y., Birmingham, Ala., and New Britain, Conn.Black people wanted their's and didn't mind kicking a few asses to get it...don't blame them.
Thurgood
Marshall was sworn in as first black U.S. Supreme Court Justice.
Dr. Christian A. Barnard and a team of South African surgeon's perform the world's first successful human heart transplant....patient died 18 days later...kind of takes the glory out of the successful part don't it..
But oh w
e had some great music to push and pull us through the year...
'Words of Love' by the Mama's and Papa's...'The Beat Goes On' by Sonny and
Cher, 'Gimme Some Loving' by the Spenser Davis Group.
Springtime brought us 'Strawberry Fields Forever' by the Beatles, 'Don't You Care', by the Buckinghams, and 'I'm a Man' by the Spenser Davis Group.Aretha belted out 'Respect' and 'Windy' by the Association. One of my favorites 'Little Bit o'Soul' by Music Explosion.
Then it was summer of '67.............good times
were had by all. If you were going to San Francisco Be Sure To Wear a Flower in Your Hair,' by Scott Mac Kinzie.
'Can't
Take My Eyes Off Of You' by Frankie Valli was one of and still is one of my favorites..'Sunday Will Never be the Same' by Spanky and Our Gang. ohh, and 'Up up and Away, in my beautiful, balloon.' by 5th Diminsion...Johnny Rivers sang about the 'Tracks of My Tears'.and OH...MY.....GOD.....THE FUCKING DOORS...Well, that's not their name..but Jim Morrison, holy shit..he not only lit my fire...he lit every females fire in america...damn he was hot..Then things were a little trippy..'A Whiter Shade of Pale' by Procol Harum and 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane. The Beatles reminded us that 'All We Need is Love'...and another favorite'San Francisco Nights, by Eric Burton and the Animals.Jackie Wilson wow, Jackie Wilson, for those who never got to see him sing..you have missed something very special..Elvis Presley stole everything he did on stage from Jackie Wilson..and admitted to it..Jackie sang 'Higher and Higher' and our Jackie was trying trying...Mama's and Papa's sang'I Dig Rock and Roll Music'....don't we all..
Autumn came and so did Jackie...well, that's one way of putting it..but I had my first date and sex after over a year...when I got my divorce I said yes to a guy who we couldn't take our eyes off each other...and all we needed was love...or at least a motel room and a condom...think you regular readers will remember my post about this date...so won't go into details again...but needless to say'Y
ou Made Me Feel Like a Natual Woman' by Aretha Franklin was a fitting song for me...huhu..Also 'Woman Woman' by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, 'Bend Me Shape Me' by American Breed, and the cheesiest song ever written and sang'It Must Be Him' by Vickie Carr....and Cher came out with her own song written by Sonny..'You Better Sit Down Kids'...so it all comes down to the music...I was becoming a growdup...still fucking up and making mistakes left and right...but I had my sons and life was good....

.......1966..AND NOTHING HAPPENED IN THE WORLD

I'm serious ..not a fucking thing happened...I went to all the scources that I use on line to find out the events for the year...and nothing..nada, zip, zero, zilch, nary a thing..well, some teenage black kids tried to start up another Watts riot and got shot for their effort....France withdrew from Nato(big whoop). The only thing of worth that happened(this one is for you Dom)...England defeats W. Germany for the World Cup In Soccer(ok, Dom..football)4-2...so it wasn't a total wash out...I really couln't figure it out...why...did...nothing ....happen...Then I remembered the year...1966...fuck..we were all stoned....we were toking, droping, tripping, meditating, dancing, moving and a grooving, and getting down...We were in no frame of mind to actually do anything...we were bombed out of our little grass soaked minds...we were gazing off into the distance marveling at sunsets..feeling our hair grow, seeing flashes of color and waving our hands around in the air, watching the trails....(not this year, but about 1968 I actually followed a cigarette a guy was smoking all the way to the ashtray...with my nose in the ashtray...was follwing that little red ball of light where ever it went..when the guy put his cigarette out, I was heart broken..)
Actually everyone else was tripping but I was throwing off the binding ties of matrimony...We are in Portland, Oregon, Thom is
4 months old, David is 22 months old, I have never worked with the exception of some waitress jobs and not a graduate and no experiences for the job world...This is the world of Jackie not knowing Jackshit...but Jackie knows one thing...Bob has got to go...The final straw was when we were down town Portland and clothes shopping for the kids...We passed a window and don't even remember what was in the window, but I stopped to admire it..and #1 grabbed my arm and said 'come on stupid, you know you're not going to buy that..I have all the money'....snap....yes, you actually do here that snapping sound when your mind goes...I heard it...it went 'SNAP'.. and I could smell the frayed ends of some brain cells on top of it...I slowly turned around and shook my arm loose and very calmly said(anyone that knows me when I am calm about anything................run for the fucking hills)'don't ever call me stupid again. If you call me stupid again, I will pick up the bigest handiest thing I can find and I will beat the living shit out of you'...(this coming from someone who has stood by and let him call me names for 6 years)....Bob, the asshole, didn't belive me...So, I told him, 'that's it, I'm serious..you call me stupid one more time..and your gone..out of here..history..I will divorice you and you can kiss my big tittied young ass goodbye..'
Well, he could no more stop being an asshole than I could being big tittied...so he called me stupid at a later date, and I threw his ass out...He said, I would come crawling back to him, that I didn't know how to do anything, wouldn't get a job and would be back in a week...Well, it's been 40 years.....I not only got a job, as a cocktail waitress at the Palm Gardens, I got another job as a bartender at a beer bar(The Hook & Ladder)...I was a gogo dancer on Sunday nights, I was a nude model for an art school on Wed. nights, and was a model for a magazine, that specialized in sports wear...Most of these jobs still allowed me to spend a lot of time with my boys as they were at babysitters by bedtime and I picked them up in the am...I was still nursing Thom when I went to work at the Palm Gardens...pumped my breasts for the 10pm feeding and was home before the next one..but I would still leak milk all over my little Hawaiian shirt that I wore over my fish net hose and high heels...It actually helped me with the tips...and no one made a pass at me...who wants a nursing mother, no matter how big them tits were..Every body drank, took drugs, and had a great time..I worked my ass off...that is actually when I started drinking...Had never drank before in my life...23 years old and didn't drink..but drinking runs in my family so I took to it like a duck to water...So while I am learning to be free and taking care of my 2 sons..the music goes on....'Lightning Strikes' by Lous christie(there is another song if you try to sing along with will hurt you). The Righteous Brothers had one of the best song's ever out"Your My Soul and Inspiration,"...damn I loved the Righteous Brothers...'Good Loving' by the Young Rascals, 'These Boots Are Made For Walking'....by Nancy Sinatra was a BIG HIT for me..The Beatles had more hits with 'Paperback Writer' 'Elanor Rigbey,'and "Yellow Submarine."
Oh man, do I remember the first time I heard 'Monday Monday' by the Mama's and Papa's...'Paint It Black' by the Stones.and the song that everybody thought was about something dirty...."Gloria", by the Shadows of Knight."When A Man Loves A Woman." by Percy Sledge..Simon and Garfunkle say the greatest songs,'I am a Rock',and 'Homeward Bound.'...'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me.' by Dusty Springfield..'It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World' by James Brown.'Sweet Pea' by Tommy Roe.and most people were '8 Miles HIgh' by the Byrds..'Rainy Day Woman nos 12%35 by Bob Dylan..
Man...there were so many great song this year...'Green Green Grass of Home'by Tom Jones,'Devil with a Blue Dress on/good Golly Miss Molly' by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels..and the first time I heard Aaron Neville sing 'Tell It Like It Is', I nearly swooned...I fell in love with Donovan who sang'Sunshine Superman', 'Mellow Yellow', and 'Season of the Witch.'ohh ohh, and hey hey their the monkeys and 'Last Train to Clarksville'...does anyone besides me know that that song was written as a protest to the war song? and was a ballad and the Monkeys tricked it out and jazzed it up and changed the meaning completely...'Wild Thing'...by the Troggs, oh I liked that song..and a song that I hear all the time on my oldies station..'Red Rubber Ball.'...'Hey Joe', by the Leaves..'A Groovy Kind of Love', by the Mind Benders....anyone having a musical flash back yet??? how about 'Little Red Riding Hood' by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs?'....'You Keep Me Hanging on'..by the Supremes...
well, belive it or not..there are many many more...1966 was a happening.I don't know when I found time to listen to the music as I was working all the time..but the Palm Gardens hired some of the best bands around and they played all the hits...The best band we had was a 3 peice band called the Razor's Edge...which was really small for our club as most of the bands were 5-12 members...but the Razor's Edge...wow, they were terrific...and all they wanted to do was make enough money so they could go back to their home town and open up a bowling alley..they cracked me up...most bands were hustling the waitress's, drinking, partying...these guys would finish their gig and go across the street and bowl all night long...wonder if they ever bought their bowling alley?....ahh, those were the days my friends...those were the days....

1965-WHAT'S NEW PUSSY CAT?

It's 1965..I have one son, and another one on the way. I have become more and more unsatisfied. Why you ask?..I am 21 and I have found my inner strength, that I had all along, just didn't know how to express it...and the stronger I became the more problems we had. As long as I was a 'anything you say honey' type of wife...Bob was happy..I on the other hand was so miserable I had left and gone back to Daddy's house which was different from the house I had left to be a wife..Daddy had a new wife and a new family. All the things we couldn't afford when he was in the Air Force on military pay, he could now afford to give his new family as he was a civil servant, doing the same job but at about 4 times the money...Part of me was just so happy for my Daddy, cause even if I was 'Daddy's Little Darling' as his new wife refered to me, all I wanted was for him to be happy, and he was..But I can't tell you it didn't hurt me in ways that I didn't understand when I saw the pink frilly canopy bed with matching dresser, desk and pink fur rug in my new step sister's room. The new brick home, the new car, the well decorated bedroom for my new step brother. Remembering my room when I left home to get married...the military iron bed with plain white sheets, and chinille spread, with a military metal desk and dresser. Daddy didn't deny me anything he could afford..but when he went to court and sued to get custody of me from my mother when they got the divorice, it cost a lot of money and to top it off, Mother had ran up all his credit cards when she left me with him..So we didn't have alot of extras, but we were happy together..But it wasn't an ideal situation..He was still young and needed someone and I was an only child who didn't want to share Daddy with anyone..So it is easy to look back and see why Daddy didn't throw too much of a fit when I wanted to go to Calif. and marry Bob...someone would be taking care of me and he could get on with his life...Problem's solved...So going home was a wake up call, you really do have to sleep in the bed you made..so I went back to Bob who did try and change..but once an asshole, always an asshole..He was getting out of the Air Force and taking me and my belly and David to where his folks lived in Portland,Oregon. Think he thought if he got me away from Daddy I would be easier to manage...think again asshole...
While I was getting stronger and braver and a hell of a lot louder, the rest of the country was going through some major changes too.The Rev. Martin Luther King and more than 2,600 other blacks were arrested in Selma, Alabama during a 3-day demonstration against voter-registration rules. Followers of Black Muslim leader Elijah Muhammad killed Malcome X, Black Nationalist leader.Medicare Senior Citizen's program begins. Black rioted in Watts, a section of Los Angles for 6 days. 34 dead, over 1,000 injured, nearly 4,000 arrested, fire damage was about $175 million. Power failure in Ontario plant blacks out parts of 8 states of New England and 2 provinces of S.E. Canada. The war is heating up in Vietnam and the U.S. bombs North Vietnam in retaliation for a National Liberation Front attack against U.S. Troops in South Vietnam. The background music to my inner war and the war in a far off country were the same.We were urged to "Hang on Sloopy" by the McCoys(Ialways thought they were saying hang on snoopy),the Beach Boys were still wearing plaid shirts and singing surf songs"Help Me Ronda", and "All Summer Long."...'All I Really Want To do'by the Byrds, 'Cara Mia Mine', by Jay and the Americans was a personal favorite. The Beatles were pumping out hits all year long,'Day Tripper, 8 Days A Week, We Can Work It Out, Ticket to Ride and oh lordy the best song of the year .......Yesterday'.....Don't get much better than that.Bob Dylan had a few hits too, 'Like A Rolling Stone, and Subterranean Homesick Blues'....Sonny and Cher had each other then, 'I Got You Babe', and we though they were just so cool and hip and everyone wanted to be them...and funny enough..Bob kinda looked like Sonny( I was NOOOOOOO Cher)...and to hear Cher tell her life story with him, they acted alike too...Simon and Garfunkle sang about 'The Sounds of Silence.' James Brown had us...'I got You ...I Feel Good.' 'Downtown' by Petula Clark, 5 O'Clock World by the vogues. 'My Girl' by the Temptations..and the Stones had 'The Last Time'...The Byrds also had 2 of my favorites that year, my music tastes was already starting to turn'hippy.''Turn Turn Turn' and 'Mr. Tamberine Man'...1965 is coming to an end and except for the crying, my marriage was too...

1964....THE WORLD IS GOING TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET AND I'M A MOTHER

Lots of happenings with the new president..Johnson who as a Texas made a lot of southerners hated him as he signed the Civil Rights Act into action...Most of them felt he had betrayed the 'southern sensebilites'...As the bill integrated public accomodations and prohibiting discrimination.
Jack Ruby was convicted of murder in the slaying of Lee Harvey Oswald. He was sentenced to death by a Dallas jury.Three civil rights workers Schwerner, Goodman and Cheney were murdered in Mississippi.Nelson Mandella was sentenced to life in prison.President Johnson's commission on the Assassination of John F. Kennedy concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone..I actually have a copy of the warren commission...and after reading it in it's intireity...it is bullshit...
The Beatl
es appeared on the Ed Sullivan show...and remember watching it...but I had seen them way before that...On Jack Paar's show..He had gone to London for some shows and went to that hole in the wall that the Beatles played in and did a home film of them singing and the fans screaming..He said remember their names..cause they are going to be really big...
I spent most of the year walking, reading, working in the garden and getting fat...remember when I said the baby was due Sept. 23rd? Well, on that date I went to the movie theater and watched Richard Burton doing Hamlet...it was broadcast on film all over the country...it was fantastic..I was in love...Burton rocked...I kept waiting for the baby to be born...and nothing..I did everything from going to the dump in #1's old truck and it was unpaved and so bumpy I just knew it would bring about the birth..nothing...took laxatives...nothing...had sex alot...nothing...(these were all things we were told would bring about delivery)...finally 19 days later...I felt a pain in my back...got up in middle of the night, swept, moped and waxed the floors(by hand, on my hands and knees)..did 4 loads of laundry, made breakfast for #1 and his buddies and then about 10am said...I think it's time..we went to the hospital and after about 45 minutes in labor room, they said ok, your ready...took me to delivery room and said push..I did, and they said push...and I did and David Michael Allen B. was born..8 lbs. 4 oz.24 inches long..he was covered with fur...on his back, shoulders, and on his ears..first thing I said was Oh shit, he looks like a monkey...but he morphed..into the prettiest little baby ever...people would stop us on the street and comment on how pretty he was...so now....I'm a mama...cool...and while I was nursing, changing diapers and learning how to care for this new life...there was music going on...'Baby Love' (fitting) by the Supremes. The Beatles were racking up top tens again this year with "Can't Buy Me Love, Twist and Shout, Hard Day's Night, I Feel Fine, and She's a Woman.".....We were 'Dancing in the Street', with Martha and the Vandella's. Frankie Vallie and the 4 Seasons sany about "Dawn and Rag Doll."..."Chug-alug" by Roger Miller was a big favorite with all the gi's..."Fun Fun Fun" by the Beach Boys, 'Glad all Over' by Dave Clark 5.Oh, man...the Moody Blues with "Go Now", was a big favorite of mine..The Moody Blues are still one of my very favorite bands...it was the music I tripped to later on in the 60's...Eric Burton and the Animals...ooh, the bad boys..sang about 'The House of the Rising Sun'.'It's All Over Now' by the Rolling Stones...'She's Not There' by the Zombies...'Under the Boardwalk', by the Drifters...still a great song...'Needles and Pins", by the Searchers, and the granddaddy of all songs..:"Oh, Pretty Woman", by Roy Orbison..which is reported to be the fasting selling single in history....I sang all of these songs to David..we watched Another World and Days of our Lives...We got a puppy for David..yeah, like I needed 2 crapping peeing babies in the house...we got rid of the puppy..I had already gotten to attached to the baby to get rid of him..The lion at the zoo had 3 cubs and couldn't feed them for some reason, so we were allowed to take one in and feed it for about 3 weeks. That is until the cub was licking David just a little too eagerly...so we had them come get the lion...I was keeping that kid...so there goes another be bopping year from the sixties...all that music and a poopy kid..what more could I ask for..
