DICK CHENEY IS A BUTTROY
I swear if I turn on my TV one more time and find that sneering jackass babbling on about how waterboarding isn't torture and you get results from it ..I will go jackiesue on him and kick his wrinkled ole ass. He quot
es the Director of National Intelligence, Adm. Dennis Blair, as saying that the information gave U.S. officials a "deeper understand of the al-Qaeda organization that was attacking this country."....well if that's so...how come in all the waterboarding none one of the motherfuckers gave up the location of Ossama bin Laden?..
es the Director of National Intelligence, Adm. Dennis Blair, as saying that the information gave U.S. officials a "deeper understand of the al-Qaeda organization that was attacking this country."....well if that's so...how come in all the waterboarding none one of the motherfuckers gave up the location of Ossama bin Laden?..While I'm here..I won't be going back to work, as I called Texas medicaid and I am able to get it and it will pay my medicare deduction each month($96.40) and pay the other 20% that medicare doesn't pay for.. so that's fecking fantastic. If I do go back to work, it will put me over the limit, plus my rent would go up $300...so..I'll just have to busy myself with volunteering. Also..brace yourself for a great post this weekend..I'm going tomorrow morning to the Knights Of Columbus grounds and be one of the judges for the BBQ...Taking camera and trying to talk Babs into going to...if so?....we are going to mess with them soooo bad..I wonder if we can get tossed out for not playing well with others before the grand finale.?...huh hu...
I have a giant marker so I can circle a spot on my right cheek making sure he knows exactly where to kiss. Buttroy.
.......WEST NEWS.......

Finally, some news worth printing..fist of all the Trojans advanced to the quarterfinals and the Lady Trojans lost to Gatesville..Dangit! They beat Bridgeport 9-0..Ashley Anz pitched a perfect game but they lost to Gatesville 4-0. The Trojans beat Fredericksburg 4-2 and now go up against Liberty Hill this Thursday. Hope they win. Rats...I had some pictures to scan and put in this post and for some reason it's not working..it lost the connection and I haven't figured out how to re hook it..feck!
The West Knights of Columbus is having their 6th annual Texas Allstar Barbeque Shootout this weekend..With over 60 cooking teams expected to compete..They need judges...hmm..
.................Ok..I just got through taking to one of the people running the BBQ and I am going up Saturday at 10 a.m. to be a judge..will take camera and will take pictures and do a post on it..oohh, this is going to be fun...all that BBQ...
The Senior Center is having a free screening for diabetes and foot ulcer screening next Wed. I think I will go up and have them look at my tootsies. Because........brace yourself..I think I'm going to go back to work at Family Dollar..they are
working on their 3rd manager who I happen to know from when I still worked there and she and I get along ok...This will only happen if I get the same day shift back I had before.. I am not going to be working Sundays and nights again like I did when I first started there. I am spoilt..So will keep you up on all the details..she will be there tomorrow a.m. so will go have a little chat with her..See what's up..If it doesn't work out I saw in the West paper that they are looking for volunteers for meals on wheels. That would give me something to do..How would you like to open your door and see my goofy grin and your lunch..".'howdy' Im Jackie, I'll be your server today."
Brazos Gibson celebrated his 8th birthday with games, a pinata, hot dogs and chips and a Madagasar Cake. Vivian Vonasek Weathers is engaged to Darrell Ray Whatley...They will be married June 6th..From the picture it doesn't look like this is their first walk down the aisle.
Playdium Pool will open up May 23 and Spivey Crossing will be playing the 29th. Spivey Crossing is a place along some river down the road going to the Dam, where every one goes and swims, fishes, drinks, bbq's and raises hell. This all happened before I got to West, so I have no tall tales to relate.
No births 3 deaths..But they were all in their 80's...so no spring chicks. Scott Benjamin Kapczynski got his Master of Architecture degree from Texas A&M. OH MY!..Reading his stats, I see that Scott was the Activities Director of the College Republicans. Wonder what kind of activities the republicans participated in? Waterboarding Sooners? West Columbus Club is having their 46th Annual Picnic this Sunday rain or shine.
Will be having a Czech style dinner which means chicken with sausage on the side..Sausage is served with every thing in West..You want ice cream? It comes with a side of sausage. If your lucky they will slide you some sauerkraut. Which by the way is sweet sauerkraut and I like sour sauerkraut.
Ethan Armstrong had his 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese..A very popular place for kids to have their birthday.(all of my granddaughters have had at least one birthday party there...it's horrifying...80-100 screaming kids playing games and throwing food at each other....I'd rather be waterboarded than to attend another kids birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's) Oh..Stephanie McNair was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with a Master of Science degree in Accounting at Texas A&M University. She didn't belong to any republican groups.
Ten West High School students volunteered with Habitat for humanity in Waco on May 13th.Holy Shit!..There is an Asian, Hispanic and an African-American in the picture. Shocking!...I didn't know we had any...I don't mean that to sound racist, it's just that we had zip minorities, or anyone that wasn't blond hair blue eyed.. in graduation class last year.Yeah for us.
We have a section in the paper that tells what happened 50 years ago, 75 years ago, etc. Well, 89 years ago the J.F. Urbanovsky family rode got to ride around in style as they bought a Franklin Eight sedan. I have never heard of a Franklin Eight sedan. Have to google..That's what? 1920...jeez..wonder what that cost?
West Food Mart has Tyson split chicken breasts on sale for .99cents a lb. Plus 4 ears of fresh corn(grown here) for $1.00..I love my little town.
West Bakery is still for sale and there is a 2,530 sq. ft. living area with 3 bed, 2.5 baths on 3.67 acres in West. Has a game room with bar, large family room with built-in bookcases and entertainment center, spacious kitchen with island open to family room and 2 car garage with storage room. Home is located on 1 acre with fenced in backyard. Sprinkler system, large carport and lots of trees. 2.67 acres fenced with barn and stock tank. for...........$255,000.
Best news? Community Grocery has Blue Bell on sale..2 half gallons for $8. sigh*....Peaches on sale for .99cents a lb. Can get a half gallon of Home Made Vanilla and serve it on top of 1/2 a peach..Being a diabetic.sucks, bites and blows.
Oh..almost forgot..went by the other day to see my x-daughter-in-law who is the Activity Director at the old farts home..We had a great talk..I gave her a bunch of coupons(I trained her well) we googled for cheap fairs to Virginia to go see Jamie and just had a really nice visit. Which is a miracle in itself as she used to be the 'daughter-in-law from hell.'...I hugged her good bye and said I'm glad your not my daughter in law anymore..and she said me too..ha..I think Tom liked pitting us against each other so he could use it as an excuse to get the hell out of the house and grab a beer. Any how she said she had told the girls not to worry about me if and when the time ever came for me to go to the old farts home that she would make sure I got in there (the waiting list has about 50 people on it) and she would take care of me...I laughed so hard I peed my self..said well, there's a cure for cancer if I ever head of one..I'll be sure and take really good care of myself to keep that from fucking happening...Oh shit Mario olives are on sale..and cucumbers are 3 for $1. I didn't read the grocery adds very well earlier.
Have I mentioned that I have been having low blood sugar? Man, I'd rather be waterboarded than have low blood sugar..I hate how it makes me feel,'shaky, dizzy, weak, rapid heart, pulse, etc.'....and for 3-4 hours after wards, my fucking brain won't work..Which is why typing this is a chore. My fingers are faster than my brain and words come out taht instead of that..etc..feck. Anyhow that's the news from West. Have the camera and will be out haunting the citizens for closeups..
See ya later gators.

I loved this outfit, and wore it damn near every day until I out grew it..which was a good thing as I had discovered Randolph Scott and switched my love to him.

as not only scary but ...well..reallly scary. The estimated number of nuclear warheads around the world, including non-deployed warheads. Sermon response draws fire from First Baptist leader, but no protesters.(he makes a point to mention the Gays protested, but the good Christians didn't...snort*)

By Ed Housewright staff writer for the DAM News
The pastor of little Grace United Methodist Church took a swipe at big First Baptist Church of Dallas on Sunday with a sermon titled "Why Gay is Ok."
The message was delivered as a counter punch to "Why Gay is Not Ok," a November sermon by First Baptist pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress.
"I knew I had to preach about this," the Rev. Diana Holbert said Sunday.
She told her diverse East Dallas congregation that homosexuality is not a big issue in the Bible and that Christians should be
more focused on subjects such as health care, green in the corporate world, and the welfare of children.
more focused on subjects such as health care, green in the corporate world, and the welfare of children.About a third of the church's membership is gay or lesbian, she said.
During her sermon, Holbert said, "God doesn't discard or discriminate."
"The Bible has often been used to attack gay and lesbian persons," she said. "Lets put a stop to that."
Jeffress issued a rebuttal to Holbert's sermon even before her service began.
"I wonder if her follow-up message will be 'Why Adultery is OK'
or 'Why Incest is OK,' he wrote last week in an e-mail to The Dallas Morning News.(gee, compared gays to adulterer's and people that have sex with their kin folk....nice job pastor)
"The Bible says sex is reserved for a man and a woman in a marriage relationship," he continued. "Once you reject God's Word as our absolute authority in all matters, then any perversion is permissible." (oh my....don't you just LOVE people that quote the Bible?...I got one for you 'Jesus Wept'. There's my quote for you."
Holbert, whose husband is a professor at Southern Methodist University's Perkins School of Theology, chose her words slowly in responding after her sermon. She said she had never met Jeffress. "I want to be careful," she said in an interview."I don't want to call him anti-scholastic. I don't want to get in a fight with him."( can I ?...please ..please...let me..I'll let him throw the first punch.)Then she added, "I kind of feel sorry for him,"(yeah?..........not me...I save my pity for people with incurable diseases)
Just as Jeffress had done, Holbert publicized her sermon's title.
"For years, gay people have given up on organized religion because it has condemned the," she wrote recently in the Dallas Voice, a gay newspaper, "At Grace this simply does not happen."(who knew they had a gay newspaper...yeah Dallas.)
Jeffress' sermon six months ago drew about 100 protesters outside the downtown church. The sang "Jesus Loves Me" and carried signs with messages such as "Christ Taught Love Not Hate."
On Sunday, no one protested Holbert's sermon outside the 106-year old church on Haskell Avenue. Inside she spoke to 186 worshippers , a fraction of the number attending First Baptist, which had 10,000 members last year. She based her sermon on Acts 10:9-28, 34-48.
"'What God has made clean, you must not call profane,'" Hobert said, reading from verse 15.
Andy Smith and his long time partner, Paul von Wuipperfield, began attending Grace United Methodist church more than a decade ago, in part because of its acceptance of gays.
"This is not about a battle with First Baptist," Smith said. "It's about Grace and what the church has to offer all children of God."
Gays and lesbians in attendance made little effort to hide their sexuality, nor did they flaunt it. (this sentence is so offensive to me I can't even begin to express myself.) Several put their arms around their partners shoulder during the service. (gee ..just like heterosexuals....gasp*) Two men held hands discreetly as they returned to the pew after taking Communion at the front of the sanctuay.(discreetly?...how the fuck do you hold hands discretely?...does this mean they didn't hold hands, blow kisses and skip down the aisle?)
Penny Camfield, a lesbian, said she had stopped going to church before discovering Grace United Methodist about 15 years ago.
"I was getting conflicting messages:Jesus loves you, but...," she said."You could do everything right, but still be judged because of who you were."....
Sigh*************.First of all, I used spellcheck and corrected about 6 misspelled words..Second of all....I think the guy that wrote this article was a homophobe...or maybe I'm just pissed off at the way it was written...
Anyhow...that's the DAM News for the day..Going to take the camera around town again and take some 'people pictures'...see if I can get Patsy Patsy Patsy to pose and not give the finger..Gotta go..have 3 loads of wash going and have to go put them in the dryers...I fecking hate laundry..but the good thing?..low of 50's tonight...spring is still here...dang!

Madison sixth-grade teacher honored as Roanoke's standout
Amy Tlockowski was recognized for successfully harnessing older teaching methods.
By David Harrison 777-3523
A sixth-grade English teacher at James Madison Middle School is Roanoke's new teacher of the year.
Amy Tlockowski was named the city's top educator during a banquet Monday night at Jefferson Center. She goes on to compete for the regional teacher of the year prize.
Last year's winner, Stephanie Doyle, was eventually named the state's teacher of the year.
Tlockowski was recognized for using teaching methods that were once considered antiquated but that have been making a quiet comeback in recent years. For instance, she has her students memorize poems, then recite them, a practice that can lead to improved reading comprehension.
"By the end of the week, they own the poem," she said. "We've been doing this for months now."
Tlockowski also uses so-called "thinking maps," which help students differentiate between types of writing.
"It helps with comprehension," she said.
Tlockowski described her award as "an absolute honor," and praised district administrators and Superintendent Rita Bishop for their efforts to turn around city schools.
"I've been very proud of being a Roanoke city teacher for the nine years that I've been here," she said. "And I've been wooed by other counties, but I believe that this is where I belong."
Madison Principal Debra Deitrich said Tlockowski has "a rare ability to make school come to life for her students."
"Her English lessons are engaging and inspiring in a way that I have not seen in many classrooms throughout my career," she said.
Her students may call her Mrs. Tlockowski, but to us here in bloggerville...she's our own Buddha_girl....and I'm so fecking proud of her and to know her I could just burst...She's the proud Mama of the adorable little boy that does the 'touchdown' on my winning Cowboys posts...He calls me Gramdma Jackie...he owns my heart....go by and tell her what a great job she did and does...every day...

West News..lots of haps in little West this past week..first of all they had a fundraiser for The Shoeboxes for Soldiers, and raised enough for over 100 boxes to be sent to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan...I took some toilet tissue, Kleenex, baby wipes, snacks and drinks up there Saturday and got a very very warm welcome from one of the vets..This was at the VFW Post 4819. I had on my Air Force T-shirt and man, that ole guy couldn't have been any happier to see me if I was a plateful of kolaches. He jumped up and grabbed my arm and escorted me inside, never letting go of my hand and invited me to be a member of the women's axillary and come to Bingo Sunday night. I had to practically shake him off me. Was pretty funny, especially since the lady that he was sitting next to didn't even say howdy..

A soldier adopted by the West Elementary School stopped in and met all of the kids that had written him letters and sent him packages. He just got back from a year on the USS Iwo Jim and has been to Iraq twice. Corporal Tufts is from West and his parents still live here. It was pretty cool for him and the kids really did love having him there.

We had a crime spree in West. Fist of all, a former West High School secretary was charged with theft with just over $15,000 missing from the activity f
unds. Pretty sad...The other crime was from the construction site for the new Sonic. It was in broad daylight..At 2 p.m. in the afternoon a Dodge Quad Cab dually pickup pulling a flat bed drove up and loaded up several bundles of one-half inch rebar and just drove off..The Sonic site is right next door to the Czech Stop, and across the street from another convenient store...broad fucking daylight...made me laugh.

They usually have it in July but moved it to Memorial Day Weekend in hopes it will be a little cooler..Since it's 90 today, good luck with that.
The West Public Library's Tale Tellers will be presenting the children's story, Last Day Blues, with an end of school and kick off to summer fun celebration this Saturday. This is something that Nancy our librarian found out about, got the grant and organized it with kids from the West High School..It's really a neat things for the Library, the patron kids and the students doing it..Good for Nancy.
We had one birth and he's a biggy. Logan Phillip Rizo weighing in at 9 pounds, 14 ounces, and 20.5 inches long. He was welcomed by his big brother Hunter. Kelly Trim and Cody Hargrave were married in Elm Mott on May 2. I have to say, by her picture in the paper, she was a beautiful bride. My old and good friend James "Jim" Favors celebrated his 72nd birthday.
He will forever be Chief to me..He used to be the Chief of Police and had a bar called Chiefs..Then he bought The Capital and changed it to Strickly Country.. One of my favorite memories of him is once at Strickly Country he was giving me a hard time about something and I said..'oh, Favors..eat shit.'...and he leaned over and bit me..I laughed so hard.
K.D.'s Meat Market has sirloins on sale for $3.69 a pound and at K.D.'s bar and restaurant this Saturday night, Gary p. Nunn will be playing..Dang.
We had the one birth, but we lost 3 citizens of West. One of them I think is someone I know..But they showed his army picture and since he's 87, he's changed quite a bit so can't tell if it's who I think it is..
The Lady Trojans and the Trojans play this weekend, postponed from last week because of the Ann Couter Flu. So will have updates next Wed. I'm including some pictures of the Youth League ...they just look sooo cute.
West Food Mart has red potatoes on sale for .59cents a lb. and will go get some as I can cut them in half and actually eat potatoes with out making my sugar go up. Community Grocery has Earl Campbell hot links on sale for $1.99 and I love ole Earl's hot links..
We still have some great buys on houses..a country home with 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, siding, central A/C and heat and nice porches is for sale at $79,900..It's in Abbot, Texas..9 miles from West and the home of Willie Nelson who just turned 76 years old..Happy birthday Willie.
Here's a new listing..5 bedroom, 3 bath brick home on 17 acres. Built new in 2003. Wrap around porches and metal roof. Also includes 40x40 workshop and 2 acre stock pond for the price of $349,900. which is a lot of money for a house around here, but 17 acres. Damn, I wish I had the money for that one.
If your a RN and LVN there are plenty of jobs here in West at the West Rest Haven, and at the West Assisted Living Center.
Well, that's all the news for today..Really a slow week for West and for the DAM News...but I'm sure someone will fuck up some where and I'll let you know about it.

STUMBLES? HERE 'TIS
I pledge allegiance to the.. .'What the fuck'...I'm so tired and confused..First? I cleaned the house..whipped my ass..moved furniture, vacuumed, dusted, swept, mopped and just wore my old ass out..Then tonight I watched the last of Lost...what the fuck?...I'm so confused..I love that show..but jeez, I don't know what the hell is going on.
Except I liked it much better when Sawyer ran around with out his shirt instead of them butt ugly DARMA overalls..
I'm going tomorrow and find out what is at the Mexespresso..See what they have...I mean really..it's right in the middle of the parking lot of the Czech Inn...not a lot of ambiance. Wed is when the West Paper comes out..Not much going on, but will do a combination news report from my DAM News and the West news..We have a crime spree..someone stole up to $25,000 from the High School and some dudes drove up in the middle of the night with a truck and trailer and stole all the re bar from the construction sight of the new Sonic..What cracks me up is someone watched them do it...and never called the police or questioned what they were doing..
Puts don't get involved in a whole new prospective..Babs made a copy of the disc of the last season of Dexter, going to watch one of them tonight..If I watch more than one a night I have nightmares... I heart Dexter..
