NO SMOKING...

Jadedj's comment about smoke made me remember my other ghost..
When I first moved into my little house on Walnut, the guy that had lived there before me had lived there for years and was a very heavy smoker..he died in the house, in my bedroom from various old age ailments. Before I moved in they had to remove the carpet, scrub the walls, put kilz on it and then put 3 coats of paint on the walls..as a non-smoker I can smell a match, a wiff of smoke 1/2 a block away..I moved in the house during cool weather..fall I think..yes..Sept. So I kept the windows and the door open...fresh air and all that shit..(before allergies decided that was bad mojo)..every morning about 3-4 I'd hear a match strike and smell smoke.. I thought what the fuck?..I'd get up turn on lights, look all over the house, out in the yard, thinking it was a neighbor..nothing..this went on every night..I even complained to Edda who lived in the big house up front..she laughed and said the guy that had lived there always got up in the middle of the night and smoked a cigarette and then would go back to bed..had mentioned it to her because his dr had told him to quit. So one morning when I heard the match and smelled the smoke I said 'you know..I hate the smell of smoke and you're making my sleep miserable, do you think you could go somewhere else and do that?'...It never happened again..so me and ghosts and cigarette smoke..is there a link? Maybe 'the boy' said lets fuck with her..and you blow smoke in her face every night..see how she likes it now... only the shadow knows ..

Well, if it WAS a ghost, he was a very considerate one by going elsewhere, I must say.

I'm gonna need you to come over and have a word with George. He doesn't smoke. I do, but I'll go outside with it while you're here.

Sure, they're a bit scary, but when you tell them what you think in no uncertain terms they usually go away.

Sort of Casper, all grown up, that ghost.

I love your ghost stories. More, please.

I used to smoke in the night too. I'd wake up and be smoking!!! The power of addiction!

I wonder if a nice dose of Febreeze would have done in the Ghost along with the smells?
