Great bunch. The rain we were supposed to get yesterday was moving into the northeast. We have a posted 40% of rain chance but I wonder where it is coming from because it sure as hell ain't coming around here. Maybe we'll get lucky tomorrow.
What percentage of parents can do 6th grade maths? Eg prove pythagoras theorem e.g. without using algebra? Can you? Or your blogreaders? I guess about 3% of our village.
Debra, Sam l Jackson always says the right thing..hope it really cools off there..our north west and your canada had some horrible hot weather. Pam.I have gg's in 3rd and 4th grade and can't help either of them with their math problems...scary.. Leanna we got rain..but it wasn't like RAIN it was 'meh rain.'.. Ole phat...I have numbers dyslexia..from paper to brain to paper? they get transposed..I have hell keeping my check book balanced..
The rains arrived in Eastern Oregon, we got six huge filthy drops and it was over...and the smoke is back. I believe this has been the longest summer of my life. Fall is coming tho, I can feel it in the coolness of the pre dawn hours. You feel it too??
Dee our fall lasts about 45 minute...winter about 2 hours and then it's summer again...I love oregon..I used to live in Portland in the late 60s and absolutely loved it.
Meanwhile, here on the north shore of Long Island we are getting bits of Fred dropping by every other hour. And my friend has her partner's 8-year old grandson visiting and she is going crazy, because the kid never shuts up. And on Thursday, too, we drink wine.

It's cooled off here to seasonal temperatures too, thank the Goddess. The heat this summer has been unbearable.
Love Samuel L. Jackson's quotation!
Odd as it sounds, we could use some rain here. Oh, and cooler temps would be good also!
Sadly, I know a parent like that - 6th grade math????? expert on covid (and refusing to take the vaccine).
Great bunch.
