JACKIESUE'S AWARD WINNING PECAN PIE

1 CUP KAYRO SYRUP
1 CUP SUGAR
1/2 TSP SALT
1 TSP. VANILLA
3 LARGE EGGS SLIGHTLY BEATEN(ROOM TEMP)
6 TBSP. ROOM TEMP BUTTER
1 HEAPING CUP OF PECANS
I add the 2 sugars salt and vanilla together and mix by hand
then I add the butter and eggs and mix together by hand
pour into a crust(frozen ones will work..just don't get Mrs. Smith's they suck)
I cook in preheated oven 320 for 20 minutes then turn it up and cook about 30 minutes at 350..it all depends on your oven. It should look like it's set..it will keep cooking after you take it out..so don't leave it in too long..your gonna burn the crust and the nuts..(no jokes here..oh hell, put joke here.)
there is absolutely nothing unusual about this recipe I think it might be on the kayro bottle for all I know..the only difference is the recipe calls for 1/3 cup of butter and that's 51/2 tablespoons..which is a pain in the ass..so I go for the full 6 tablespoons or maybe it's ozs. fuck I don't know..it says on the stick of butter..ha..anyhow..that's the recipe..easy peasy.

Pecan pie always seems so rich and decadent. Just how I'd like to be!

I love pecan pie! I have never made it home made though, and your new years pictures were funny and good. It looked like you had a good time!

Kayro syrup is a syrup like a pan cake syrup..can find it usually on the bottom shelf where they are and that's the brand name..it's used a lot in candy cooking too.
store bought pecan pies?..holy shit..can't even imagine buying a pecan pie.
I shit you?...instead of making the pecan whole mince them..chop them up really fine or can buy them already minced..makes it a whole lot easier to eat and doesn't change the flavor of the pie.

My mother used to make pecan pies and this sounds like hers. I will make this and shock everyone by actually using a recipe and actually baking for the first time in...nevermind.
