It would be nice if Beto won, but I'm not optimistic about Texas. Neither am I hopeful the carpetbagging prick who represents this part of Michigan in Congress will get shown the door. As far as I can tell, Michael Moore is about the only person who's predicting Democrats will do a lot better than the polls suggest. We can hope he's right.
I have tried my damnedest to avoid local and national news the past weeks, along with viewing television in real time. The political ads are nothing except toxic, the news has been nothing except pundits spouting how this race is lost and that race is lost based on... [nothing].
I'm done. Win or lose tonight, there is a bottle of voddy and a bottle of vermouth right next to it. I intend to turn off every fucking noisy thing and just... relax.
