TEXAS RANKS HIGH IN GAYS WITH KIDS

Study: State is 7th in percentage of couples raising children.
Houston..Despite Texas'conservative reputation, gay couples living here are more likely to have children than in almost any other place in the country, according to a study published in The Gay and Lesbian Atlas.
The stu
dy, based on the most recent U.S. census data and first published in 2004, found that San Antonio has the highest percentage of gay couples raising children in the nation.Houston is fourth, and the Fort Worth-Arlington area is fifth.
As a state, Texas ranked seventh.(holy shit..be still my heart)
The study looked at children who are being raised by at least one biological parent, as well as children who were adopted by sa
me-sex couples.
The
study found that minority same-sex couples are more likely to have children, and Texas' large Hispanic population could partially explain why Texas has so many gay and lesbian couples raising children, said Gary J. Gates, who co-authored the Atlas study.
Another possible explanation is that compared with their hetrosexual co
unterparts, gay and lesbian couples tend to be "urban pioneers," he said. They are more likely to live in racially and ethnically diverse neighborhoods that have more college-educated residents, older housing, higher crime rates or higher property values, accoring to the census research.
Nationally, about 25 percent of gay couples have children living in their homes. And generally, same-sex couples and their children live in areas where other people also have kids, Mr. Gates said.
The c
hildren of gay couples consist of two groups:those born from a parent's preious hetero-sexual relationship and those who were adopted or whose parents started families through reproduction technology, such as artificial insemination.
Experts s
ay there have been other "gayby booms"in the last 25 years. The first came in the 1980's when lesbian couples took advantage of new reproductive technology to have children. The second came during the 1990's, when gay men began to adopt, said Beth Teper, executive director of the San Francisco-based organization Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere.
Mitchell Katine, a lawyer who helped overturn the state's sodomy law, said there is a clear difference between the state
's conservative politics and its more liberal social practices.
Howev
er,there are still social obstacles facing gay couples planning to adopt, Mr.Katine said.
Many gay couples avoid going through the
more conservative courts of Harris Country for adoptions, Mr. Katine said.He went through a San Antonio judge to adopt his two children.

NUMBERS PUT CITIES ON GAY AND LESBIAN ATLAS.

Texas is third in states with the most same-sex households.
Houston's Montrose neighborhood is 10th among urban areas in the number of same-sex households.
Dallas'Oak Lawn area ranks eight among neighborhoods with the highest concentration of gay male couples.
Among all households, not just same-sex couples, Texas ranks sixth in the highest concentration of same-sex couples with children.
Houston is fifth among big cities with high concentrations of same-sex couples with children; Austin-San Marcos is seventh among all households with children: and San Antonio is first among same-sex households with children.
Texas ranks 3rd in the concentration of Hispanic same-sex couples and second when only Hispanic same-sex couples are considered..

Texas.....I salute you....heehaw...

..............JEST 'FORE CHRISTMAS..............

Ok, picture Jackiesue,12,with titties, can't get around them titties, with little Lord Fauntleroy curls, pantaloons, cap and barefoot. At the Christmas pagent where I got up on stage and recited this poem...word for word..acting my skinny ass off, like I was Sarah Bernhart staring on broadway. I even took little bows and blew kisses..jeez..I was such a ham..

Jest 'Fore Christmas
by Eugene Field (1850-1895)

Father calls me William, sister calls me Will,
Mother calls me Willie, but the fellers call me Bill!
Mighty glad I ain't a girl---ruther be a boy,
Without them sashes, curls, an' things that 's worn by Fauntleroy!
Love to chawnk green apples an' go swimmin' in the lake---
Hate to take the castor-ile they give for bellyache!
'Most all the time, the whole year round, there ain't no flies on me,
But jest 'fore Christmas I 'm as good as I kin be!

Got a yeller dog named Sport, sick him on the cat;
First thing she knows she does n't know where she is at!
Got a clipper sled, an' when us kids goes out to slide,
'Long comes the grocery cart, an' we all hook a ride!
But sometimes when the grocery man is worrited an' cross,
He reaches at us with his whip, an' larrups up his hoss,
An' then I laff an' holler, "Oh, ye never teched me!"
But jest 'fore Christmas I 'm as good as I kin be!

Gran'ma says she hopes that when I git to be a man,
I 'll be a missionarer like her oldest brother, Dan,
As was et up by the cannibuls that lives in Ceylon's Isle,
Where every prospeck pleases, an' only man is vile!
But gran'ma she has never been to see a Wild West show,
Nor read the Life of Daniel Boone, or else I guess she 'd know
That Buff'lo Bill an' cowboys is good enough for me!
Excep' jest 'fore Christmas, when I 'm good as I kin be!

And then old Sport he hangs around, so solemnlike an' still,
His eyes they seem a-sayin': "What's the matter, little Bill?"
The old cat sneaks down off her perch an' wonders what's become
Of them two enemies of hern that used to make things hum!
But I am so perlite an' tend so earnestly to biz,
That mother says to father: "How improved our Willie is!"
But father, havin' been a boy hisself, suspicions me
When, jest 'fore Christmas, I 'm as good as I kin be!

For Christmas, with its lots an' lots of candies, cakes, an' toys,
Was made, they say, for proper kids an' not for naughty boys;
So wash yer face an' bresh yer hair, an' mind yer p's and q's,
An' don't bust out yer pantaloons, and don't wear out yer shoes;
Say "Yessum" to the ladies, and "Yessur" to the men,
An' when they 's company, don't pass yer plate for pie again;
But, thinkin' of the things yer 'd like to see upon that tree,
Jest 'fore Christmas be as good as yer kin be!

MY HEROINE..........JULIE WILSON

Yes folks, my new heroine...is a 14-year old girl with freckles and braces. She is into liberal politics and popular movie stars. One of these subjects got her questioned by two secret service agents and taught her a lesson about living under the Bush Regime. That was the results of her posting unAmerican type images on her MySpace web page.Under the words "Kill Bush," Julia had posted a cartoon like photo-collage of a knife stabbing the hand of President George(aka Forest Gump) Bush. This was one of some other images she had used to decorate an anti-Bush Web page. She moderated this page on the social networking Web site MySpace.
Federal law prohibits mak
ing true threats against the president, and Julia and her parents say what she did was wrong, but her parents are upset that federal agents questioned a child at school with out her parents being present.Plus First Amendment lawyers question whether the Secret Service might have overreacted just a tad to a 14-year old's comments of a Web site that is for casual socializing.
This is what went down...Two Secret Service agents arrived at the Wilson home on Wednesday and told Mrs.Kirstie Wilson that they wished to s
peak to her daughter about threats she had made to the President on her MySpace site.At the time Julia was in molecular biology(bet Bush couldn't pronounce molecular)and didn't want to take her out of class and she would make sure that Julia came right home from school so they could talk to her.She asked them to come back in an hour and they left. Then Mrs. Wilson text messaged her telling her to come straight home from school as 'there were two men from the Secret Service that want to talk to you. Apparently you made some death threats against President Bush. Don't worry you're not going to jail or anything like that buat they take these things very seriously these days.'
"Are you serious!?!/ omg. Am I in a lot of trouble" Julia replied. Then Mrs. Wilson called her husband. While they were talking, she received another text message from her daughter:"They took me out of class." Julia said later it was a 15-20 minute interview.Agents asked her about her fathers job and her Social Security number. They also asked her about her MySpace page she had created last year as an 8th-grader.
"I told them I just really don't agree with Bush's politics," Julia s
aid."I don't have any plans of harming Bush in any way.I'm very peaceful, I just don't like Bush."
Most o
f the groups belongs to are fan clubs for movie stars like Jake Gyllenhaal and Ewan McGregor. The group that got her into trouble was called something like "People who want to stab Bush"..Julia said she doesn't remember the exact name because she changed it soon after.
After an eight-grade history lesson in which she learned that threatening the president is against the law, Juli
a said she changed the group name to "So Bush is an idiot but hey what else is new."
The group is composed of other teenagers who share her political views. She deleted the group page over the summer when she decided that MYSpace was juvenile and taking up to much time..Her parents said they had no idea what their daughter had posted online.
Representives of ACLU of Northern California said that Julia'
s post didn't sound like a 'true threat' to the President, making it a political speech protected by the First Amendment.A member of the First Amendement Coalition said that in the current political climate 'the threashold that brings agents in has gotten lower.'...no shit sherlock.
Well...well ...well..so they can't find Ossama Ben Buttfuck but they can track a 14-year old down in Sacramento,Calif.and scare the crap out of her for her MYSpace post..which isn't even up any more...she deleted it over the summer..and they are just now finding her?..fuckme...
Regardless....it's a sad shape of our country when the smartest person around is a teenage girl...like she said.."so Bush is an idiot, hey...what else is new?".....

1994..THE STARS AT NIGHT..ARE BIG AND BRIGHT..DEEP IN THE HEART OF WEST, TEXAS

My time in San Francisco was running out and all the stores were closing up I Finally had hired some trust worthy people and got to see the 2 places I wanted to see..Haight/Ashbury and Chinatown.I had been in the Haight/Ashbury area back in 1969. I had heard my friend 'dirty ron' was staying on Haight and Cole, so I stood on the corner and yelled'dirty ron...wake the fuck up'...after about 5 minutes he stuck his head out of a window and said'sonofabitch, you're like the fucking F.B.I. you can find anybody anywhere'...Judas Priest, people were screaming "F.B.I. and running down the street. That was fun.
I spent most of my free time in Chinatown where I spent most of my money
..buying stuff for the granddaughters..I loved it there..
Finally it was time to go...mj was going back with me but was coming back ...I kept thinking she would change her mind..she was just 20 years old..what 20 year old wants to move by herself 1,300 miles away from all her family... but when you have a family like ours...ha..it was just always her dream to live there and now that she had friends and a job(tending bar...not 21 but they didn't know that)so she was going to say hi,bye and then head back to San Francisco. We left and I was going to go down highway 1 so she could see the coast and the ocean...but it was raining really hard and I thought .nah...our luck there will be mudslides, and there were..we lucked out again..But all the way across the country we were like 300 miles in front of a snowstorm...we pulled into D's drive way(our heater had gone out about 500 miles back)when the sleet hit..the snow hit about 2 hours later..not bad but we saw pictures of the snow we left in our wake..which reminds me ..the earthquake wasn't in 1993, it was Jan. of 1994...
Since
I didn't have a house anymore, I stayed with D.and his family..got to spend time with N.and the new baby H.which was wonderful..It took awhile before I got to see Jenny and Jamie as Thom and K had gotten a divorce and that was my punishment, finally got that straightened out and got to see and be with all the girls..My first order of business was to bury Bill..these wonderful people at the Dog Hospital kept Bill in a freezer till I could come back and bury him..he is in a pet cememtary in Bellmead and I go see him when I can..
My sec
ond order of business was to find a place to live..and had already decided to move to West.No one was crazy about me moving there..but that is what I wanted..found a little house about 1 1/2 blocks from our swimming pool..which the girls loved when they came to spend the week end with me..I had gotten a severence pay from company as I didn't want to move to New Jersey, which was their next great idea...so we parted ways..My kids didn't want me away from home again...so I went to work at Community Grocery store to keep me out of trouble till I found a real job..So..life is good..I'm home in West, Texas..my granddaughters visit me all the time...(think it was the pool)and I have one of my dogs(Honey) and my two cats..Chuck and Al..no more pan handlers, no more icy wind off the bay, no more working from 8am to midnight..but plenty of kolaches and people waving at me ..even if they didn't know who I was...I was home.
Wor

Music lost some great's this year..from two different times and two different styles but still both were great ...Henry Mancini and Kurt Cobain.

I think this was a sucky year for movies..except for one.Pulp Fiction...I love that movie..and a movie that I think is the dumbest, least funny movie I have ever seen....Forest Gump.At the end of that movie..I sat there and thought to myself..'You have got to be kidding me?'...dumb dumb dumb.. To balance it out there was The Lion King,True Lies,The Santa Clause and Speed.Hooorah! One of my favorite actors died this year and really messed up my Soap Opera watching..Mac Donald Carey, who played old man Horton on Days of our Lives..sigh*..Cesar Romero,John Candy,Burt Lancaster, Raul Julio and to prove that vampires do die...Peter Cushing...But a little tiny baby was born that year and she brings us lots of joy in her movies today...Dokota Fanning...so another year...pissed away...ha..so what where you doing this year? tell me all about it...

BUSHIT'S WAR..PART II

ok....these are the pictures I wanted to put with my other post..but couldn't..so this is sort of an add on..because I really thougth the pictures of these boys needed to be seen...hope it disturbs you as much as it disturbs me..and there are more...these are just a few of thousands of pictures I found...

..............BUSHSHIT'S WAR..............

Iraq war injuries are on the rise..776 of our soldiers wounded last month.
The numbers of U.S. troops in Iraq has surged to its
highest levil in nearly 2 years as they fight block by block in Baghdad to try to rein in a crushing blow of sectarian violence that U.S. commanders warn could lead to a civil war..(excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusethefuck out of me..but aren't we there already???)
Last
month, 776 U.S.troops were wounded in action in Iraq, the highest number since the miliary assault to retake the insurgen-held city of Jallujah in November 2004,according to Defense Department data. It was the fourth-highest month total since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
The large i
ncrease in American-wounded, with nearly 300 more in the first week of October, is a grim reminder of the degree to which the U.S. military has been pushed into the lead of the effort to stave off full-scale civil war in Iraq, military officials and experts say.Beyond Baghdad, Marines battling Sunni insurgents in Iraq's very violent western province of Anbar last month also suffered their highest numbers of wounded in action since late 2004.
More
than 20,000 U.S. troops have been wounded in combat and 2,700 killed in the Iraq war.Although most of the media's reporting has been focused on the number of dead, military experts say the number of wounded is a more accurate gauge of the fierceness of fighting, because advances in armor and medical care allow many service members to survive who would have perished in past wars. The ratio of wounded to killed among U.S. forces in Iraq is about 8 to 1,compared with 3 to 1 in Vietnam.
The upswing in wounded comes as U.S. commanders issue increasingly dire warn
ings about the threat of civil war in Iraq, all but ruling out cuts in the current contingent of more than 140,000 U.S. troops before the spring of 2007.
Thousands of additional U.S. troops have been ordered to Baghdad sin
ce July to reinforce Iraqi soldiers and police who failed to halt..or were in some cases complicit in...a wave of hundreds of killings of Iraqi civilians by rival Sunni and Shiite groups.
The worsening violence in Baghdad has led some Pentagon officials to criticize decisions by the U.S. military since early 2005 to transfe
r responsiblity for security in large swaths of Baghdad to Iraqi forces while cutting back on American patrols.

What it boils down to is we that our soldiers are dying and getting wounded fighting a war that should be fought by their own people but are too corrupt to be trusted to do the job...and the results are the brave soldiers.

Thanks to blogger I was unable to upload(download?) any more pictures....couldn't do it last night and all of today...it really sucks...so I will add them later..because they need to be seen...
