.......DAM NEWS JEWELS.......

Oh boy..there are a ton of good stuff in the paper..I can't wait to lay this shit on you...( I have such a gift with words)..this is a letter from The Arizona Republic about immigration, and truer words were never spoke.
CONFLICTING SIGNALS
PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY CROSSED THE BORDER ILLEGALLY, SOLELY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO WORK, TOOK A DAY OFF.
PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY VALUE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO GET A GOOD EDUCATION KEPT THEIR CHILDREN OUT OF SCHOOL.
PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE APPRECIATED FOR PROVIDING A SPARK IN THIS COUNTRY'S ECONOMY TRIED TO STALL THE ENGINE OF COMMERCE....
IF THE GOAL OF THE PROTEST WAS TO SWAY PUBLIC OPINION TO SUPPORT SUCH THINGS AS LEGALIZATION OF THE CURRENT UNDOCUMENTED POPULATION AND A GUEST-WORKERS PROGRAM, THE EVENT FAILED.

and the good news is:33% of the public approves of President Bush's performance. Droped 3% since April..heehee..But that hasn't prevented him from quietly claiming the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office. He asserts that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.
Among the laws Mr. Bush said he can ignore are military rules and regulations, affirmative-action provisions, requirements that Congress be told about immigrations services problems, whistle-blower protections for nuclear regulatory officials, and safeguards against political interference in federally financed research.
The Constitution is clear in assigning to Congress the power to write laws and to the president a duty "to take care that the laws be faithfully executed." Mr.Bush however, has repeatedly said he does not need to "execute" a law he believes is unconstitutional.
Far more than any predecessor, Mr. Bush has been aggressive about declaring a presidential right to ignore vast swaths of laws..many of which he says infringe on power he believes the Constitution assigns to him alone as the head of the executive branch or the commander in chief of the military.
There is more to this article written by Charles Savage from the Boston Globe..but it is in the Dallas Mornging News and you can find it on the net..Just wanted to remind you of what the little fucking weasel is up to..Other bits of info:..the winds in Waco the other night that caused so many trees to be uprooted and tossed into houses and also snapped telephone poles in half were up to 80 miles an hour. It just about destroyed the Coke plant and many many other buildings and homes..We were really lucky here in West.
A bit of TV history:Elma Gardner "Pem" Farnsworth who died at 98, was the wife of Philo T. Frarnsworth, who developed the television and was among the first people whose images were transmitted on TV, on April 27 in Bountiful, Utah. She worked by her husbands side in his laboratories and fought for decades to assure his place in history after his death in 1971. Other inventors had demonstrated various developments in the 1920's including mechanical transmission of images, but it was Mr. Farnsworth's work that let to the electronic TV we know today. His first TV transmission was on Sept. 7, 1927, in his San Francisco lab, when the 21-year-old inventor sent the image of a horizontal line to a receiver in the next room...
Huh, I didn't know that...So from here on out I am going to call my
TV the Farnsworth or maybe the Philo T. "Gonna walk on over to de couch now...and watch a little Philo T."....yup..I like that..
have more for you but will do another post as one article is on Kinky and one is on slaughtering horses and each needs its own post..so a little bon mot from old Dotty...and I am out of here...

THE THIN EDGE

WITH YOU, MY HEART IS QUIET HERE,
AND ALL MY THOUGHTS ARE COOL AS RAIN.
I SIT AND LET THE SHIFTING YEAR
GO BY BEFORE THE WINDOW PAIN,
AND REACH MY HAND TO YOURS, MY DEAR
I WONDER WHAT IT'S LIKE IN SPAIN.
ahh..life is good..

Bushwacker would not do well wearing stripes and in the general population of a Federal prison, would he?

Oh no, not the Coke plant.

The notice on illegals is choice. So on the mark.

Every night before bed we all must begin to say, as if to pray:" Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rice, lied about elections twice! Bush, Rice, Cheney, Rove, your policies we do loathe! Bush, Rice, Rove, Cheney, your mistakes are too many! IMPEACH BUSH! BUSH IMPEACHED!! (Okay I couldn't rhyme bush without sounding silly ;o) ...And may all his appointees and legislation and acts, be reversed... And don't forget to curse his daddy and mommy too, they started it... So mote it be... Amen..." However you say it, let's all say it every night til echoes in the moonlight and across the land like the Liberty Bell... Awaken ye sleepers.... oh geez, see what happens when I don't write during the day...Bravo Ms JS for this post...
