Finally get rid of the fucking cough from hell, and woke up this morning with a head cold...Head is stuffed up, sneezing, nose alternates between running and being stopped up..or stopped up and still manages to run...I had to work an extra hour today..Tom is no longer our manager, they shipped him to Valley Mills in Waco, and Inky refused the managers position(said by the time he worked the 70-80 hours on 'salary'. he'd be making less than he's making now as a ass. manager with 40 hours. Plus he has a bum leg and it's killing him. He's been working 18 hours a day for over a week and he was ready to just hand in his keys and quit. So Sharon came in today and will be here for 2 weeks until they find someone to take us ..haahaa..She said when she asked about Tom's crew he said 'Jackie's a worker...a really really hard worker.'..nice!
All I want to do is get well. I'm so sick of being sick..Going to call Dr. E. tomorrow and see if he can't give me the antibiotics that he had given me but give it to me for 2 weeks and a refill. 10 days don't do jack-shit.
I have tried to come around and the posts on your blogs but I'm in a semi-coma or walking dead, so I'm sorry that I didn't get to them all. I will catch up in a day or two..I hope..All I know is I feel like hammered shit. If I'm not back in action by Christmas...a very very merry fucking Christmas to you all..

Oh Jackie! Antibiotics don't work on colds, drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest! Hopefully the worst will be over by Christmas.
I wondered where my cold went.
I guess I shouldn't have sent that email to you the other day after sneezing all over my screen.
You have to take good care of yourself so you can do a good job training your new boss.
I hope I get a lump of coal for Christmas so I can burn it to warm the cockles of my heart. It got down to 3 degrees Monday morning and with the wind chill it felt like -11.
I think I froze my assets.
It's making the rounds...Barely dodged the bullet last night when the old sinuses started backing up. Retaliated with prayer and a full spread of Vitamin C and garlic caps.
Freezing rain hit last week and got more over the weekend. While I was spared power outage, the group homes were not and it's been all hands on deck for the last 48 hours just to deal with no furnaces and broken pipes...
Merry freaking Xmas:P
Granny, I hope you are feeling better real soon. And a happy fucking Christmas to you, too!
;o)
i can't remember. did you get a flu shot?
i hear that dollar stores are breeding grounds for cold viruses.
Get better soon. I am just catching up on a few blogs myself.. busy busy. Get good rest, kiss people to pass on your cold. I really think that is the only way to get rid of a cold is to give it to someone else.
rox:yeah, I thought about that after I posted about it..can't take vit c as it wrecks my diabetes counts..but have been eating an orange for my 2 snacks a day.
rainwolf:well at least the meds im already taking are helping with the cold..today I feel a tad better.
nitty:I saw where your neck of the woods was having some icky weather.ah ha! so you're the one who gave me my code..

Sorry to hear you'r still sick. I hope you feel better soon.
Sorry to hear about the cold. I hope you feel better in time to enjoy Xmas. I also hope they find a new manager for your store soon.
Take care of yourself. Remember, lots of liquid and lots of rest.
just try the zicam products!
Have a merry christmas
hope you feel better
Sorry to hear about the code. Have you tried chicken soup and hot tea. Anti-biotics are like poison me me, but everyone reacts in a different way. Do have a good and healthy Christmas,
If it's truly a classic head cold, you should be about half way through it now. The usual pattern is a couple days of mild lead-up, a couple of days of producing snot by the gallon, and then a couple days of tapering off. Antibiotics won't help because colds are usually viral. Chicken soup and time are your only hope. Stay warm, and drink lots of liquids.
And don't sneeze on Santa.
I agree with Nan. We are old and know these things. Sorry Nan, I know you're a lot younger than I but still... Wisdom, that's what we have. And to keep my cover and a wise old women it's a good thing you aren't visiting my site today, because I be bad. I'm bit naughty and don't play well with others. For someone so old I am certainly childish. But colds? Nan's got it right. Do you have a fever? Ache in your bones? No? Then it's a cold.
Hope you feel better soon, Jackie Sue! Happy Holidays!
Weather explains it!
Mom was the same way; very susceptible to the elements. So am I, especially in the bursitis dept.
Finally, the second 12-hour day is done, and Jim Beam and I are working out the muscle pain issues, with help from Pepsi. Goddamned weather's finally breaking up and we got power back in most the homes; reminding moi of that priceless JackieSue-ism: "I can see daylight at the end of the tunnel, I just hope it's not a fuckin' train!"
Oh no! The only thing worse than a cold is watching those godawful Mucinex commercials on TV. What the hell is up with that? Who, with a degree in marketing, thought that shit, and what VP of marketing approved that shit?
Anyway, hope you feel better soon.
sorry you're sick at Christmas!1 May the Goddess grant a speedy recovery!
Best wishes to you and yours!
I hab a code too. A-chooo!
Jack the Garden Gnome and I wish you every feel-better remedy in the book. This is a helluva time to get a cold for crying out loud. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones... xoxo
