PAGE 123 MEME

I swiped this from my new pal Buzzard Billy, who if we were going to be politically correct would be Buzzard Nanny...but I digress..
Your supposed to reach out and grab the nearest book to you and turn to page 123..go to the 5th sentence and then copy out the next three sentences...The first book I grabbed was a Portuguese Dictionary, and didn't think that would work, so then I grabbed the next nearest book and it's A Light In the Attic by Shel Silverstein and it's a kids book and doesn't have 123 pages..so then I grabbed this book:PIECE OF MY HEART -JANIS JOPLIN.
Here are the 3 sentences after the first 5 sentences.

"With her mesmerizing intensity she wielded together all the threads, scales and fragments of our collective person, as if she were piecing Humpy Dumpty back together again.
Through music's anarchic power to both dissociate and , ultimately, to integrate, Janis let us know that only all of us can see it. Too vast to guess by parts: too enclosed within us to recognize."
Goddess bless Janis...........

I thank you for my birthday tree. :0)
My fibromyalgia is kind of bad today so that made me feel better.

Wonderful! Absolutely grand.

I would do this meme, but my computer is in our home office, and what book shall I take off the shelf?

Juanuchis, real name Janis...

A Portuguese Dictionary? I don't seem to have one of those. I'm curious about why it is close to your computer.

I'm goning to do it right here so I don't get tagged by someone.
I had a choice of Duma Key by Stephen King Or the local phone book. See if you can tell which one I picked.

"Part of Duma's development problem is simple overgrowth. The sea oats belong, but the rest of that shit has no business growing without irrigation. Somebody better investigate, that's what I think."

That was a pretty good place to read.
Of course being a Stephen King Novel it hasn't really gotten started yet.

Richard Bach liked to screw with that also.

Like if you are dealing with something pick out a book and open it to a random page and put your finger on it and read the next line for the answer.

He of course has gone off the deep end but to each his own.

The closest book to me right now is The Name of the Wind. Since everybody from your blog is about to read it..I don't want to ruin page 123. Ha. Oh I love Janis Joplin...She was part of Captain and Tennille Right?

Nit Wit said...

I can't get The Name of the Wind. They don't have it in Kmart or Wally world and the nearest real book store is 30 miles away in one of those new fangeled places. I think they call them Malls.
Maybe I'll take my new truck out Tuesday night and see if there is a copy in Ohio. Could use Amizon but I have to put more money on my Green Dot card and I need all my cash for gas.

Nit Wit said...

I did go to Wally World tonight so my some could spend his tax refund. I got The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama.
The funny thing is I think there might be Hillary supporter straightening out the books at night. All three copies of the book were hidden in the remotest (is that a word? This is English so it is now.) Corner of the bible thumping section. I have noticed that this area has gotten larger in the last year.
Gotta finish Duma soon. Want to see what he has to say. I still have Blaze waiting in the wings too. It came out in paperback a couple of weeks ago.

I'm reading Tommy Land by Tommy Lee. It's inappropriately divine. Translation: there's some nasty ass shit up in there!!

Page 123 is probably just him talking more about his Johnson. :)

My friends laugh at me about my P!NK fetish.

(Out of all of her album releases, and singles -- I have 14 songs that I like a lot :o)

But she credits Janis as her #1 influence.

And she's a total smartass and she hates Bush ;-)

Pg. 123-

Rodricks hand trembled as he reached to unbutton her blouse, and expose her bountiful orbs of flesh.
With a breathy sigh, she lay back on the bed, offering her sweet surrender...
'STOP!',cried Father Patrick.

The next 2 sentences spoil the mood.

A genius of sorts who died much too soon. Period.

Love this meme. Will have to do it later this week.

Loved my tree planting email! Very nice, Jac!

The kid's hair is FINALLY growing back. I may actually have pics tomorrow. I have a workday and will try to bring my camera and cords to work so I can show you Christmas and a myriad of other times since then!
