It must be awful for families when their loved ones are sent to a war in a land we never really understood and the reasons for us being there have never been justified.
My eyes have welled up and I am so angry. I will be surprised if I manage to say goodbye to my husband without clinging to his leg in a desperate attempt to keep him home in the fall when his turn comes.
George Bush should be locked in a small room for the rest of his life, with no windows, and walls decorated with the pictures of every serviceman who has lost his life in this war. The fact that he will probably die someday in a comfortable bed surrounded by his family, when he's sent so many people to die in the sands of Iraq separated from their loved ones, sickens me.
What's your government done for you today? Is your life better today than yesterday? Oh and oil profits are up 25% this quarter. Now I'm exhausted, the meatloaf was good though.
Are you sure they're crying because their father is going off to war for a second time? They might be weeping because Barak Obama doesn't wear a flag pin on his lapel.
bigtex:i can think of worse things to happen to him before he meets his maker...all of them revolve around the removing of his balls with something rusty and dull.. nitwit:glad your meatloaf was good..i make a great green salsa meatloaf.. bigpissy:yes, it is.. zero:makes you appreciate what you have huh? normy:welcome back sweety...yeah, he doesn't give a fuck about anything but himself and money.. anne:yup..just more of that liberal bullshit to make the war look bad..
I can relate. My brother-in-law, Tony, is off to Asscrackistan to poke at landmines with a stick. I am seeing his wife and two small children in this picture. As a military brat, myself, I have been there, too, and the funny thing is, it always feels new... even when you're not the kid in the photo.
Ohmygawd SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! I can't believe that my students can tell me every detail of the Miley photo shoot, and know so little about our economy woes, or the war, or anything that matters.
Bread and circus, y'all. Keeps us civil. The Romans knew it, and the White House sure as hell knows it. We're freaking oblivious, though.

That picture makes me choke up.
THAT should be what the US media is focused on rather than the "Miley Cyrus Scandal"
It's sick.

This puts all our petty problems in their place.

that picture is heartbreaking.....
well, my day looks better too.
no more whining today.
Wow... this is happening all over the country and the fucking sick thing is, Bush still has no conscience about it...

It wouldn't be so bad if there were a need for these wars or occupations.
My day sucked less than that.
