WORDS OF ADVICE FROM AN OLD BROAD

If you own 7 bookcases full of books, think twice before rearranging the furniture..and this piece of information comes to you free of charge.
The only good news is I can now dust the floor with my ass.

Books are furniture.....I use them for tables, doilies, to cover stains etc.....I love my books......more than I love Steve some days.

Ohimgod. I have got to send you pictures of my "office". Never fails...when I move (which this one is the LAST one!) I "brutally" go through my eleven boxes of books to eliminate some and come up with, say, eight...books, not boxes! Then I strategically place them by genre and author until all available bookshelf space is taken and accounted for. Never remembering my penchant for buying more! Some by the same author, ergo, goes on top of the full shelf, new author, hmmm, stick it on top of the "thriller" section, so on and so forth until it's a damn mess. Something I may get to....tomorrow...

You have two of the cookbooks that I have. Betty Crocker and Good house Keeping. The boss keeps thinking that my book cases are good for holding shoes and as pantry shelves. Most of my books are stuffed into cabinets and boxes.
James Burke came by to tell me about some lady named Katrina but he will have to wait, as I'm reading three different Dean Koontz books and have very little spare time. He followed me home from the book department of Wally world so he must be a pervert.
Dusting the floor with your ass sure keeps the house clean but getting up again can be a little tough.
I think I'll go and make a few more mistakes now.

You haven't organized all the books by genre and in alphabetical order, have you? If so, you really need to come to my house and help me get my crap organized! ;)

I own thousands of books and they are scattered around almost every room in the house. Eons ago, when I first moved into this house, I had fewer books and they were on somewhat unstable book shelves on the living room wall which backed up to the laundry room wall. One day the washing machine's jumpin' and jivin' moved the books on several shelves forward, the shelves tipped, and they came crashing down. The bookshelves are now built in. *L*
