HE AIN'T KINKY...HE'S GONNA BE MY GOVERNOR

Or he will be...maybe...Democrat Bell, the ex-Democrat, ex-Republican now Independent Grandma, and Kinky were at AFL-CIO labor convention and although Bell had the most suporters wearing his name, Kinky stole the crowd with his jokes..His jokes were about policy positions but he never really got specific(d'oh...I told him to quit that)He said he would study the states problems and hire the appropriate staff to find solutions..(well, fuck..I can do that!!)
At the convention he was introduced by his colorfully dressed campaign aide and driver..."That, folks, was Little Jewford,"Mr. Friedman said. "He's a Jew, and he drives a Ford, and he wears Elvis's shower curtain."(when I saw him in Waco he had on a purple lame jacket and bright blue pants)Mr. Friedman, who is also Jewish, then outlined his candidacy.(there was a middle aged dyed blond making moves on him,in Waco and as I stood there and listened to him snow her I couln't help but tell him "you are so full of shit"..when she walked away...He grinned, looked at his watch and said "great my first compliment and it's not even 10 o'clock yet.")
"I'm not a politician," he said."I'm a compassionate redneck, I guess.I'm 61 years old, which is too young for Medicare and too old for women to care."He said he is pushing renewable fuel initiatives with the help of friend and country music star Willie Nelson, the "Hillbilly Dalai Lama."
"I would trade my Yom Kipper Flipper, which is a Jewish Cadillac that stops on a dime and picks it up," he said.
Mr. Friedman was really upset by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's strategy of sending undercover agents to bust bar patrons who had too much to drink."If your're a drunk, the bar is the perfect place for you to be," he said.(Im sure that will make the MADD group happy)
Im March, Mr.Friedman was grand marshall of the St.Patrick's Day Parade on Greenville Avenue. Paradegoes and the press noticed he sipped a can of Guinness as he rode in a Dodge Viper(against he law..open container law)"I admit, I did drink the Guinness," he said. "But I did not swallow."
If you have read any of Kinky's murder mysteries you will find his main character's name is Kinky Friedman and all of his friends are in the book also..In his book ELVIS, JESUS AND COCA-COLA, his 6th detective novel this is what he drank in the 253 page book.18 shots of Jameson Irish Whiskey, besides an unnumbered "succession of shots" and "a lot of Irish Whiskey" at a party.
6 shots of Bushmills Irish Whiskey.
6 shots of Sambuca
5 shots of Jack Daniels
helped out with several bottles of Dom Perignon
2 Vodka McGoverns(vodka, orange juice, splash of lime, soda)
2 glasses of red wine
1 shot of Wild Turkey
1 bottle of Guinness
1 bottle of Prior's Dark
1 congnac
1"before-bedtime cocktail"
1 "little liquor drink to cut the phlegm"
Termanology you will need to know to 'getit'
blower is the telephone
rain room is the shower
steppin' on a rainbow is passed away
dead soldier is a extinguished, partially smoked Cuban cigar
performed the pre-nuptials on, is a getting a fresh cigar ready to smoke
took a Nixon is taking a dump
monstered is drunk
drag it through the garden is a burger with everything
Gary Cooper time is high noon
and ankled is walked...
I would imagine if he did make the ballot for Governor and actually won it to face Perry he will have all of this brought to our attention by the good hair Perry people...
If nothing else it has made for a lively, interesting and very funny campaign..I just wish that he would add some actual solutions to some big problems we have in Texas..maybe if and when he gets on the ballot he will get serious..yeah, right ..like that's gonna happen...
ok, that's my Kinky Friedman news ...he's still in the running and I would hope that we will have news abut if he made it or not by June...maybe one of my bumper stickers will come true'My governor is a Jewish Cowboy.'
fuckme till I Take A Nixon

.......MY NEW GOAL IN LIFE..THANKS TO PBS.......

Any one that has read me enough will know that I love PBS...I really do...and last night I watched a show that was so inspiring that it touched that special place in my heart to the point that I now have a life's goal..I know, I know..I'm almost 63..I should have had a life's goal already and actually have achieved it..but, alas, alack dear readers...I am a late bloomer..but watching that show on PBS last night inspired me to have a dream, to once again want to reach out and grab that gold ring...to aspire for the impossible to clutch that little ray of hope to my heart...grasp it to my heaving bosom and ..well, I digress...What was the show that stirred my little heart with passion you ask? How to raise a cow that will win the grand champion for the 'the best udders'......Oh, I don't want to RAISE the cow that wins the title for the 'best udders'...I want to WIN the prize for the best udders...I want farmers to walk up to me, scratch their chin, slap each other on the back and say "man, will you look at the udders on that heifer."..to compliment me on the length of my teets, so I can be easily milked..to admire the viens in my breast and to note the softness and appreciate the dusting of baby powder that will dull the sheen and make them more agreeable in the light of the barn..Yes, my friends to be able to raise my head in pride when they tag me with that ribbon that says.."Grand Champion Udders"....I have a dream...I have a dream...best tits in show...
fuckme till the cream rises to the top....

.......DAM NEWS JEWELS.......

Oh boy..there are a ton of good stuff in the paper..I can't wait to lay this shit on you...( I have such a gift with words)..this is a letter from The Arizona Republic about immigration, and truer words were never spoke.
CONFLICTING SIGNALS
PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY CROSSED THE BORDER ILLEGALLY, SOLELY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO WORK, TOOK A DAY OFF.
PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY VALUE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO GET A GOOD EDUCATION KEPT THEIR CHILDREN OUT OF SCHOOL.
PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE APPRECIATED FOR PROVIDING A SPARK IN THIS COUNTRY'S ECONOMY TRIED TO STALL THE ENGINE OF COMMERCE....
IF THE GOAL OF THE PROTEST WAS TO SWAY PUBLIC OPINION TO SUPPORT SUCH THINGS AS LEGALIZATION OF THE CURRENT UNDOCUMENTED POPULATION AND A GUEST-WORKERS PROGRAM, THE EVENT FAILED.

and the good news is:33% of the public approves of President Bush's performance. Droped 3% since April..heehee..But that hasn't prevented him from quietly claiming the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office. He asserts that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.
Among the laws Mr. Bush said he can ignore are military rules and regulations, affirmative-action provisions, requirements that Congress be told about immigrations services problems, whistle-blower protections for nuclear regulatory officials, and safeguards against political interference in federally financed research.
The Constitution is clear in assigning to Congress the power to write laws and to the president a duty "to take care that the laws be faithfully executed." Mr.Bush however, has repeatedly said he does not need to "execute" a law he believes is unconstitutional.
Far more than any predecessor, Mr. Bush has been aggressive about declaring a presidential right to ignore vast swaths of laws..many of which he says infringe on power he believes the Constitution assigns to him alone as the head of the executive branch or the commander in chief of the military.
There is more to this article written by Charles Savage from the Boston Globe..but it is in the Dallas Mornging News and you can find it on the net..Just wanted to remind you of what the little fucking weasel is up to..Other bits of info:..the winds in Waco the other night that caused so many trees to be uprooted and tossed into houses and also snapped telephone poles in half were up to 80 miles an hour. It just about destroyed the Coke plant and many many other buildings and homes..We were really lucky here in West.
A bit of TV history:Elma Gardner "Pem" Farnsworth who died at 98, was the wife of Philo T. Frarnsworth, who developed the television and was among the first people whose images were transmitted on TV, on April 27 in Bountiful, Utah. She worked by her husbands side in his laboratories and fought for decades to assure his place in history after his death in 1971. Other inventors had demonstrated various developments in the 1920's including mechanical transmission of images, but it was Mr. Farnsworth's work that let to the electronic TV we know today. His first TV transmission was on Sept. 7, 1927, in his San Francisco lab, when the 21-year-old inventor sent the image of a horizontal line to a receiver in the next room...
Huh, I didn't know that...So from here on out I am going to call my
TV the Farnsworth or maybe the Philo T. "Gonna walk on over to de couch now...and watch a little Philo T."....yup..I like that..
have more for you but will do another post as one article is on Kinky and one is on slaughtering horses and each needs its own post..so a little bon mot from old Dotty...and I am out of here...

THE THIN EDGE

WITH YOU, MY HEART IS QUIET HERE,
AND ALL MY THOUGHTS ARE COOL AS RAIN.
I SIT AND LET THE SHIFTING YEAR
GO BY BEFORE THE WINDOW PAIN,
AND REACH MY HAND TO YOURS, MY DEAR
I WONDER WHAT IT'S LIKE IN SPAIN.
ahh..life is good..

.......WACO GOT IT'S ASS KICKED BY STORM.......

Holy shit.Waco got hammered by the storm last night..down Franklin Street which is one of the main drags in Waco a bunch of telephone poles were snapped in half. The Coca-Cola plant had the entire back receiving door ripped off and back is pretty much destroyed..(Dr. Pepper plant to my knowledge is intact..)The Mayor of Waco was on news calling it a disaster and asking the government for help, so it must be bad..Usually they just ask God.I don't get the Waco paper and ususally don't watch anything but local weather, so don't have the entire news on the storm, but I know it is pretty damn bad..West didn't get hit like that ..we had wind, rain, thunder and lightning but the winds weren't that high and we got off with out any damage..I have some small branches in the yard, but grass is so high they could have been there for a month for all I know..I know the birds are scarce today..hung up a hummingbird feeder and hope that will bring in some hummingbirds..It might be because Rocky has decided to hang out on the front porch more...There must not be any females in heat as he has been home alot the last week or so...I did notice that he has been in another fight and don't think he fared to well...he has scratches and cuts all over his face..He's getting old and don't think he is as tough as he was..
No Dallas Paper today when I went out to get it..Went to town and bought 2 cream cheese kolaches and a paper. When I came home there was a paper but it was way down at the end of the house, almost in the yard next door...the paper guy called about an hour later and said he threw it right where he normally does, but there has been problmes with a dog who collects papers from all the yards and takes them to his house and won't let anyone have them..so he may have tried to drag mine off and cause it was a Sat. paper, too big for him..pretty funny...He is the brother of Maryruth's husband's exwife...(the paperguy..not the dog.)so they were all at the funeral..Damn, I should have gone, but I don't do funerals..
Think we are supposed to get more rain today and tomorrow..but right now it is a dark blue sky with nice breeze..everything has that just washed clean rain smell..Texas is in bloom...life is good...

OBSERVATION

IF I DRIVE AROUND THE PARK,
IM PRETTY SURE TO MAKE MY MARK.
IF I'M IN BED EACH NIGHT BY TEN,
I MAY GET BACK MY LOOKS AGAIN.
IF I ABSTAIN FROM FUN AND SUCH,
I'LL PROBABLY AMOUNT TO MUCH;
BUT I SHALL STAY THE WAY I AM.
BECAUSE I DO NOT GIVE A DAMN.

.......WEST NEWS..AND A Dorothy Parker poem.......

Yes, folks, it's that time again..Weekly happings in my little town of West, by Goddess, Texas..
West city council is in the process of organizing a planned 4th of July celebration and make it a yearly event..Looks like maybe Westfest isn't bringing in the money like it used to..When Westfest first started out over 30 years ago, we were the only fest like it..now there are similar events all over Texas and we aren't the only game in town..The event will be free with food, bands, bingo, a children's area, but with the possibility of a burn ban and the need for insurance in case of burns, fires, etc. they probably won't have fireworks..But are considering a laser show..So that sounds like fun..I used to always go to the fireworks show in Waco with the kids when they were all living at home..But after I moved to West, I think I went to maybe 2 of them...The traffic just makes me pissy, so I stay home and make sure Rocky doesn't get firecrackers tied to his tail by some kid or drunk redneck...
They are still continuing the West Library sale..it goes through Saturday 8pm.
West Middle School kid got ran over by a hit and run driver while waiting for his school bus.He was hospitized for injuries including a broken nose..Hope they catch the bastid..
Leroy, Texas (on the other side of Tours, Texas..Near us.)is having a group fish fry to raise money for street repairs. They will also have a silent auction.
Czech Classic club to gather Sunday in West at the PS Medical Clinic parking lot(big lot)..West has a wide selection of some great classic cars..most of them driven every day...I see 57 chevy's, 58 Ford's, an old Lincoln, some model t's, and assorted 50's cars...Probably the original owners...My friend Edda gave her daughter her 67 Chevy which has the original seatcovers, engine, body. Never been wrecked or had any thing major replaced..it's like brand new...red/white...
They are holding another benefit to raise money for a resident who is suffering from cancer and can't work, has no insurance and the money will defray hospital costs..
Karen Nemec and Michael Rogers got married on April 8, 2006..I used to work with her when I first moved to West 11 years ago. She and her brothers and sisters were the hardest working, most well behaved kids I have ever seen. But they were strange...they thought George Straight was a God and that Garth Brooks was the anti-christ..really..they truly believed he was the anti-christ. Had something to do with some organization he sponsored, raising money for children..I never got it..but they were dead serious about it..pretty funny
Five engagements..Kelly Bajer to Christopher Deramee. Amanda Sue Trammell to Nicholas Edward Stratem,Linsey Erin McAdams and Joseph Frank Pustejovsky,Rachel Brandy Orr to Bradley Joseph Moss, and Amy Kathleen Foster to Cabel Joseph Kubala.
Karen celebrated her 21st birthday.Plus we had a great thing happen here in West...2 births...4 babies..Mathew Joseph ..notice how many kids are named after Joseph?????...those Catholics)..Moss. And Pat and Sharon Vanek are happy to announce the arrival of their triplets, Mason Patrick, Brady Hunter, and Grace Elaine...wow, triplets..how great...We have about 4 sets of twins and another set of triplets..think it is in the water...Want to have multiple births..move here..
The WMS 7th grade wons sweepstakes in the UIL contest by scoring a first division in every category of the competition. How very very cool...
Holy shit..I just realized that Maryruth's husband Jack died in the West Rest Home...Damn..I need to go over there and see her..He has been in there for at least 5 years..he was a widow and she was a divorcee and he was a horney old bastid..I asked about him once and she acted all pissy..said the reason he was in there(less than a year after they remarried) is because he was more interested in his little blue pill than he was in taking his blood pressure pills..I cracked up..I doubt if she will be all that upset, but need to go and pay my respects...damn, wonder if I need to cook something to take over?...will keep you posted. And another guy died too, he was 95...
Well, that's all for the West News..not much going on...we eat, we sleep, we have babies, we have reunions, birthdays and celebrate our lives here...then we die...In between all these events they drink a lot of pevo(beer)..and I swig Dr.Pepper..ahh..life is good..

BUT NOW I KNOW THE THINGS I NOW,
AND DO THE THINGS I DO;
AND IF YOU DO NOT LIKE ME SO,
THE HELL , MY LOVE , WITH YOU!
D. PARKER...

UNFORTUNATE COINCIDENCE.......Dorothy Parker

By the time you swear you're his,
Shivering and sighing,
And he vows his passion is
Infinite, undying..
Lady, make a note of this:
One of you is lying.

.......PANIC ATTACK.......

I was up and at'em early this moring to have my lunch with Wayne at Poppa Rollo's pizza...and all of the sudden the thought of getting in my truck and getting on I-35 threw me into a tail spin..I just couldn't face the traffic and the people....Had nothing to do with Squiggly and the lunch..was looking forward to it and if he had come to West for the lunch everything would have been hunky dory...but the traffic and being around all those people I didn't know freaked me out...freaked me out being freaked out...I have gone to Waco before, to Wal-Mart, to Dr.'s..to what ever..but today for some reason it was a no go...so called Squiggly up and made up a lie, felt bad, but easier to lie than to say, 'hey, the idea of driving on I-35 with all those people made me have a panic attack'..well, not something I was ready to admit...sooo I'm telling you all..ha...
To make me feel more normal I made a point to go out among the living here in West..went to Dollar store and Robert gave me a small box of books, then I went to the library and checked out a bunch of books....then Henrietta reminded me it was the library's book sale..so I went back and bought $21.75 worth of books...some I will be able to sell on E-Bay..bought :1. Scream Queens, a book on horror movie females..cool..2. Heroes of the Silver Screen, 3.Truman by David McCullough, 4.Bushworld by Maureen Dowd, 5. Roosevelts by Peter Collier and David Horowitz, 6. The Wisdom of China and India, edited by Lin Yutang, 7. The Omega Code, 8.Still Me by Christopher Reeve, 9. The Complete Poetical Works of John Milton by Harris Francis Fletcher, 10. A Friendship, The letters of Dan Rowan and John D. MacDonald 1967-1974...
plus a bunch of paper back books and a quality paper book called Cowboy Log, its a real book by a real cowboy..can't find it so must have left it in the truck..damn...
I love buying books...I love the feel of books, the smell of books, the comfort of owning books...I love books...getting a book that I have been wanting to read, by one of my favorite authors is better than sex..well, hell what do I know about sex..been so long it's just a faded memory in my underwear drawer..
When I was driving around West I saw things in my little town that I felt you should know about..like driving down the street and seeing a momma and a 3 years old pulling a red wagon with a baby about a year old in it..laughing and waving his arms..momma had the 3 year old on a leash along with a puppy on a leash...looked so Norman Rockwall. Then I saw a Daddy on a bike with one of those little kiddy bike seats on it with a kid in it..they both looked very pleased with themselves...I left the library and drove by the ball park and there were games going on in all of the fields..(4)...and could hear the crowd yelling encouragement to the players..and listening to the announcer calling the game...on the way back I got stopped by the train and sat there listening to my oldies and goodies station..rocking and a bopping in my little truck while the train went clickity clackity on by...Nearly every truck, car, suv, van that passed me I waved at and they waved back..some waved first..that's what we do in West..Passed the Fire Station and bunch of volunteers were outside bbqing and drinking soda pop....they all waved at me and I waved back...On my first trip to the library I ran into a friend and his wife who showed me their new 3 week old baby girl...she is absolutely beautiful and smelled like heaven....oh lord..that new baby smell...johnson's powder and lotion..When I pulled into the little alley- way to go to the house I could hear the clink of horse shoes coming from my neighbors yard..there were about 12 of them..drinking beer, cooking outside and playing horse shoes..they all waved..and I waved back...Rocky was sitting on the porch waiting for me..highly pissed as I was gone and didn't tell him where I was going and how long I was going to be gone..bastid...
So even though I didn't go to Waco and have lunch with a friend...I still managed to have a good time in West...by Goddess, Texas...life is good here.....

.......THE PORTABLE DOROTHY PARKER.......

Just finished the book about Dorothy Parker..damn I like that woman..she was so smart and so funny..and so sad...I am going to try and include a Paker Poem every so often...

Comment
Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extremporanea;
And love is a thing tht can never go wrong;
And I am the queen of Romania.

ahh, good ole Dorothy Parker.

My bud Wiggley called this am, he had to go make a bid for a job, so our lunch will be tomorrow..he is so funny...he said that Christine wasn't going to be able to make it so did I just want to meet at Best for Less?...I hesitated for a few seconds cause I had just woke up and wasn't alert yet..and then I burst out laughing(Best for Less is a motel)..and said.."thanks Wayne, I needed a good laugh."...made my morning...we both were giggling like 8 year old kids...
I am going into severe denial about my televison watching. Some of my favorite shows are working their way down to the final shows of the series and then going off the air.Alias and West Wing are wrapping up and I am going to miss Alias but they had done just about everything they could on that show,so I can live with that but damn..West Wing was so well written and they have a new president with Jimmy Smits playing a hispanic president..(bet he could do something about the aliens problem)and Alan Alda was so good..I will really miss that show...the writing was stellar and so was the acting..too bad the president we have isn't as smart and effective as President Bartlett was..(now that I think about it, West Wing is more like sci-fi,as the chances of the United States Of America voting for an electing a mexican american from San Antonio, Texas for President is a little out of this world.)
Looks like we should know if Kinky got enough signitures to get on the ballot by June. I am pretty sure he did and so did that 'wench' Strayhorn. She made a comment that she was getting her signatures from teachers and Kinky was getting his from bars and honkey tonks..bitch...hey, drunks vote too..how else can you explain Bush?
Judas Priest..if I see Tom Cruise on one more tv show I may go screaming naked down the street.Plus I am sick to the point of gagging about that kid of his...Suri has a head full of hair..so maybe she is Suri with the fringe on top...
Well, going to post more later in a differnt post probably as I have to go see about getting an oil change for the truck...and maybe even run it through the car wash and clean the inside of it..cause it sure can use it...

.......LAZY HAZY DAYS OF SUMMER.......

I am starting to get anal again about the dots..notice the seven dots before my title and the seven after?...got to quit that...men in white jackets are coming to take me away ..hey hey..(doctor demento to you who are not in the know)
Yesterday was a fun day..Mojo called again and we chatted for almost 2 hours..My friend Wiggly called and he and what's her name(what he calls Christine, his wife) are going to meet me in Waco and they are going to sign my Kinky list and buy me lunch..nice...he makes me laugh...we used to get into so much trouble when I worked for him..He was owner of a Jones-Blair paint store and I worked for him ...that was when we both were drinking and doing assorted drugs...man...he also had a band he played in and I would jump in my little blue jeep and drive all over fucking Texas to go listen to him play..just as excuse to drink and drive as it was a western band and I didn't really give a shit about the music...oh, the dumpy little honkey tonks I drank in for friendship..still am amazed that in all the years of drinking, driving..drugging and driving..I never had a wreck, never got a dui....only got stopped twice in all those years...and was so funny they let me go...really..how stupid is that...
I only slept 2 hours yesterday so was going to try and stay up and watch Letterman as Tom Hanks was on and he and Dave are usually pretty funny together...and I couln't do it...I fell asleep and in my sleep I could hear David laughing his ass off at Hanks, and I was thinking in my sleep..."oh..he's making Dave laugh...wake up Jackie...he's making David laugh....and could not get my sleepy ass to get up...slept till 7:45 this am..and loving it..but damn I wish I could have stayed awake for Dave and Tom...ooooooh...that's weird...just realized those are my 2 sons names..Dave and Tom....dee dee dee dee..(twilight zone music). So I have been fairly busy this am...did some work or my veggie's, herbs and assorted plants I have potted on the porch..gave birds fresh water and seed....fed Rocky who is being picky again...little fucker...registered on ebay and put up some books for sale..have 3 brand new copies of Chicken Soup for the Teenage soul..I,II and III series. Got them cheap and hoping to sell all three for $10, but started them at $8. Then I am going to put up the 9 books by Thackery...see how that goes..need to go pick up my blood pressure pills from Dr. Eisma..plus Robert said he is finished with my 3 books and has a box of books for me that I can read and then sell on ebay if I want...so I got that going for me..
Lawn still needs to be mowed...but it looks like it is going to rain so will be Scarlett and worry about that tomorrow...
I have tv on but not really paying attention and I noticed that my shoulders were getting tense and I felt like screaming...realized that the view was on...I would like to be a guest on that show just so I could scream at the top of my lungs.."Shut the fuck up you bunch of stupid bitches."....judas priest... harpies.
Well, going to make my first batch of summer gazpacho...My granddaughter Jenny called me yesterday and when I told her I was going to make gazpacho she decided I should bring her some when I come to Waco Wed....Was only going to make a small batch just for me, but looks like that I will have to double it cause if I take her some I will have to take her Daddy some too...my gazpacho is very popular..
I am done folks..the well is dry for today..with the exception that when I talked to Jenny yesterday she gave me the most impassioned passionate speech about why the illegal aliens should be allowed to stay and work...She works at a mexican resturant and had a lot of informed info on the illegals she works with...she said they are the hardest workers she has ever seen ever..one girl lives 4 miles from the resturant and walks it both ways to work...she is a 'buser'..but she does every thing...when Jenny works with her she always gives her a ride. She said they have tried to hire white people or black people, but they won't work...she said it is hot back there in the kitchen during summer time...very very hot...and colder than Alaska during the winter months and the heat/ac does not work back there..they pay cooks $7 hour and can't get whites or blacks to work it more than a few days...she says she has seen the illegals work back there in the winter in there coats and hoodies doing dishes, sweeping, cooking, etc..and summer they wear 'wife beaters' shirts....but she says they work..no complaining...just work....and if you tip them they are so grateful you want to give them more....So I don't know what to think about anything any more...I wish I was as smart as I think I am.....
fuckme till I am grateful..

AHHHHHH....DAMN NEWS.....

Well, up all night again...no sleep but got lots of bird watching in ...mornings are pretty busy on my porch...I am finding I have more of them than I thought ...looks like I have 4
Cardinal's and 4 Doves....my gimpy black bird hasn't shown up for the past few days..I am hoping one of the cats didn't get him..don't think it was Rocky as he would have brought his dead body and put it on the porch for me...so I am pretending that he got better and flew off....

I found some of those great little articles in the Sunday paper....but mostly were letters to the editor about stuff....These two came from the TALKING POINTS SECTION and it is always my favorite..here 'tis..

"I don't hate Hispanics, but I shouldn't have to compete like this when my people fought and died for this country....They tell you to go to school and follow the laws of the land and you'll rise up.I've done that, but I'm being undermined."..Sean Jourdan, working-class African-American who says his wages have gone down because of illegal Latino laborers...Los Angeles Times..April 24th.

"It's so easy to find a job anywhere! I find one in one day:moving companies, offices, anything. THESE PEOPLE ARE LAZY."...Jose Haro, a Mexican-American worker, on African-Americans who complain that Latinos are taking their jobs. Los Angeles Times..April 24th...

Was going to print out these letters to the editor about the war, gas prices, the stupidity of the Administration...but ahhhh fuckit....same ole same ole..so instead I am going to tell you about this great article on birds being rescued by this lady in Cascabel, Arizona. Sybil Erden founded a bird sanctuary in 1998 for about 450 parrots, cockatoos, macaws and other tropical birds...The problem is the birds live so long..they out live their owners and they are hard to find homes for as they have bonded with their family and they don't do well when they are moved..but the owners have either died or moved into nursing homes and can't care for them..so this lady takes them in...Plus because of lack of funds and space the last thing they want is for the birds to breed but because of the lack of space that is becoming a problem...It is called the Oasis Sanctuary..so if anyone would like to adopt a bird or donate some money to her...I think you can find her in the telephone book either under her name or under The Oasis Sanctuary...they didn't say in the article, which was pretty dumb...I would love to have a parrot, or macaw, or cockatoo...as long as Rocky didn't try to eat it..which he would ..the little bastid....
Also..for you pbs watchers....Monday through Thursday at 7pm central time The Ranch House is going to be on...it is supposed to be the best yet of the series they have done, like the Colonial House and the Frontier House..it takes place on the 3rd largest ranch in Texas...and is in West Texas...circa 1867..not West, Texas but west Texas as in 40 miles from Alpine, Texas which is right next door to Hell......anyhow they will show it all this week and plus there are reruns..check your local pbs... I think you will enjoy it and I am sure going to watch....there is a fight, mutiny, bland food, heat, bugs, rattlesnakes, and general mayhem... and speaking of Texas...Today is Willie Nelson's 73rd birthday...happy birthday Willie....it is also my good friend Danny's birthday too..he's not 73....just in his early 50's....a whippersnapper...
Going to go to town and spend some money...maybe get an oil change for my truck....beautiful Texas spring day out...grass is still growing...really growning....might even mow it...nah...the birds like it...
fuckme till someone trims my edges..

.......ALL IS WELL IN MY WORLD.......

I was on line reading my emails when I gor one from MOJO and said she was trying to call me and if I wanted to talk to get off the computer...so I did..we spent nearly 3 hours catching up..it was blissfull....really....she is taking a vacation to go see her Grandma in New Mexico for a week and then coming to Texas to visit with the rest of her family. Her Grandma is 83 and she wants to see her and Iam glad of that..her Grandma loves her very much and has been there for her and Iam glad she has her in her life. She was talking about how everyone was volunteering to pick her up but no one had decided for sure.....so I said I can come up in the truck..have brand new tires and going to get a oil change so sholdn't be a problem. Also said I could make sure I had plenty of library books, food etc. so that I wouln't need the truck and she could take it and wouldn't have to depend on people picking her up and taking her where she wanted to go and could leave when she wanted to....So that will work out for her...No biggy, I have plenty of people that can take me here in West if I do need to get anything...and would feel better knowing she had transportation so she could come and go as she pleased...I don't worry about her coming back and being around her friends who are still drinking as she is strong in that regard, but I know she will be around them and will feel the need to get the fuck away from them too, and knowing she can leave when she wants will make her feel better and me too...
She rescued a pit..his name is pepper...he was abused and most likely fought and is about 4 years old..she is doing very well with him..and I'm so proud of her for taking on the responsability of giving him a good loving home...Bailey did pass on and we didn't talk about that much..We just had a great great phone call and just so glad I will get to see her...I have missed her so much...life is good...just hope the Goddess sees fit to make the weather nice and spring like for her while she is here..all that cool weather in San Francisco has got her spoilt..and the heat always did knock her out..so it would be nice if it was good weather for her visit...
to other news.....
I got a email from my friend Mary Duty in Waco, who with her and her husband own the best pizza parlor in Waco, Texas and also the headquarters for our county for geting Kinky elected and gathering signitures for him...anyhow..the email said for people who would like to show their support for our country while they do their boycott Monday and wearing white for solidarity...that if we could wear red or blue and shop like a mother fucker on Monday..those were not exactly her words...I sorta rewrote the intent of the email...what we are being asked to do is...wear red or blue and shop for your mothers day presents, fathers day presents, birthday presentss, early Christmas etc..on Monday..and let the stores know..your are doing it in reply to the boycott...I am...and hope you do too....Iam wearing a red tshirt and thinking about going to my friend who is the local artist and sign painter in town and see if he will make me up a sign that says "shop on Monday to boycott the boycott"....which is better than my "wetbacks go home" sign I had considered..
.......sooooooo wear red or blue and shop till you drop.......

.......ISN'T THAT PRECIOUS.......

If you received my email you will get the title of this post..if not...it's the southern way of saying "I don't give a shit."
It's a great Texas day out..my pair of Cardinals are making woopee in the bushes by one of the trees in my yard..Some how I have acquired a lame bird who spents almost all day long on my porch walking around trying to avoid Rocky..who is sick with a cat cold or alergies and when he wants to go outside I go to the door first and kinda shoo the bird away..which means he waddles out of the yard and hides under the truck until Rocky wanders off..He looks something like the grackles but is fatter and not as long looking..and he can fly..but not high and not far..he stays pretty much on my porch, yard or under the truck...he goes to the neighbors yard if Rocky decides he wants to fuck with the birds by sunning in the yard. For the first time since I have been putting seed on the porch the Blue Jays have come on the porch to eat..Man are they beautiful...not as pretty as the Cardinals, but the blue is such a vibrant blue. I got a Texas Bird book from the library and still can't figure out what the little brown birds are..they are wrens of some sort but I still can't figure out what the little gray ones with black tops are...oh well, I just like watching them and enjoy their visits.
I have been trying to think of something that I can do as an American citizen to show my protest about the immigrant boycott Monday...but so far anything I come up with will net me about a week in jail..but I am still thinking..I close my eyes and try to picture me with a sign but when I do ..the sign always says 'BUSH IS A DUMBSHIT ASSHOLE FUCKER AND IS NOT FROM TEXAS"...so need to work on that..I was thinking 'Illegal aliens go home and fix your own country'...but most of them can't read English..
While I am on my soap box I am so pissed about Exxon's 1st-quarter net of $8.4 billion ...them fuckers...and they act like "hey, it's just business folks, it's the American Way."...yeah, well so is dragging your ass into the alley and kicking your ass...fuckers...I'm thinking horse and buggy...carpooling, and you guys, sell them fucking suv's...for the sake of all that is holy..sell them motherfucking gas guzzling hogs...life is to short to be in line behind you at a gas station..while you spend $300 to fill your tank.
fuck me till I'm 10% ethanol..

OOPS, I FORGOT TO TAG 6 PEOPLE..HERE TIS

1. TEX...CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT ONE
2. LEO...HUH HUH
3. JUNEBUGG...HIS SHOULD BE GOOD
4. DAN...YU SICK PUPPY ..LET 'ER RIP
5. NORMY...BRACE YOURSELF
6. SUZ(BEANSIDHE). HEHEEE

.......NUESTRO HIMNO.......

If this isn't enought to piss you off...nothing will...Nuestro Himno that is the new Spanish version of our National Anthem, the Star-Spangled Banner. This is the brilliant idea of British producer Adam Kidron, he said he saw it as an ode to the millions of immigrants seeking a better life...Excuse the fuck out of me you Bristish mother fucker..why didn't you do a version of God Bless The Queen..and leave our national anthem the fuck along. In the week that he announced the song that features Wyclef Jean, hip-hop star Pitbull and Puerto Rican singers Carlos Ponce and Olga Tanon, it has not been well received. Many internet bloggers and others are very angry by the thought of "The Star-Spangled Banner" sung in any language but English.
"Would the French accept people singing the La Marseillaise in English as a sign of French patriotism? Of course not," said Mark Krikorian, head of the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank that supports tighter immigration controls.
The initial version of Nuestro Himno,or :"Our Anthem," comes out today and uses lyrics based closely on the English-language original, said Mr. Kidron, who heads the record label Urban Box Office.
Pro-immigration rallies are planned around the country for Monday, and the record label is urging Hispanic radio stations nationwide to play the cut at 6pm,CDT, today in a sign of solidarity.
Ok, about here is where I lose it...with the article , with the dipshit British guy, with the illegal aliens, with the whole entire fucking ordeal...listen to this shit...
A remix to be released in June will contain several lines in English that condemn U.S. immigrations laws. Among them:"These kids have no parents, cause all of these mean laws...Let's not start a war with all these hard workers, they can't help where they were born."
A resident of the U.S. for 16 years, maintains the changes are fitting, after all he says American immigrants borrowed the melody of the Star-Spangled Banner' from an English drinking song.
"There's no attempt to usurp anything. The intent is to communicate,:" Mr. Kidron said. "I wanted to show my thanks to these people who buy my records and listen to the music we release and do the jobs I don't want to do."
I am so pissed I don't know if I can actually type this well enough to explain my anger and what I think I will do about it....
I don't buy records, cds, etc from Urban Box Office..but there are those that do...WELL, STOP IT...STOP BUYING ANYTHING OF THIS MAN'S. Let him haul his traitorous ass back to England..I wish they would take away his citizenship....now.
Monday they are going to protest by not going to work? Will avoid places and not spend their money? No one loves Mexican food more than I do...but I say lets stop going to Taco Bueno, Taco Bell, El Conquistidor, and all the other Mexican resturants. Don't buy El Paso products, or any other product that sells mexican foods, no taco shells, no tamalies, buy nothing that comes from Mexico. No mexican limes, lemons, or fruit of any kind.Get you a sign and stand in front of your local grocery store...one that says don't buy Mexican products..Wave your little American flag..I think we can shut them down a lot faster than they can shut us down..which is what they want to do..they want US...as is us and in the US to give in to them because they said so...welll fuck a bunch of mexican immigrants..I was sorta kinda on the line about this immigration problem..felt sorry for them and wished them well..but after this fucking national anthem in Spanish thing showed up ..well, you pushed me to a side for sure...now I am against it...I want all of you to pack your bags, bundle up your many kids and get the fuck out of my country...My COUNTRY....go back to your country and make it better..do your protesting there to your government and tell them to make things better there for you and leave us the fuck alone...if you all go back home there is a good chance our government will raise our wages and we won't need your $3.35 asses working our jobs...Go the fuck home...you're not wanted here...nor needed .....go make Mexico fix their system so you can get health care, free food, and benefits. I don't care how bad it is there...I know that it is going to be really rough out here for you pretty soon..Because I can see it coming...redneck mentality...already a case of it in the Dallas paper..where two redneck boys beat the shit out of and sodimized a Mexican kid for trying to kiss a girl at a party...No it is not right and it is wrong what they did, and I hope they pay highly for the crime...but that will not stop it..There are more dumb rednecks out there than there are Mexicans...that's a fact.
I am so pissed...I wanted to be a good caring person...but somethings you just don't fuck with...and no matter how hard it is to sing that song, and no matter that we took a English drinking song and made it our anthem....our kinfolk are the ones who fought and made this country and yes we were immigrants...but that was over 200 years ago...it's ours now..we worked for it and we don't need it taken away from us by you....go home...NOW...

anyone that doesn't agree with this blog can kiss my ass and go someplace else.

.......SIX WEIRD THINGS ABOUT ME?.......

Justin tagged me, Sooner and Babs to make a list of six weird things about us...I would rather write about six weird things about Sooner and Babs than me..oh well, fuckit..here goes.
1. I have this 'thing'(?) about the number 7...I have things arranged on the wall and they have to be arranged in numbers 7, 14, 21, etc. like 7 pictures on the wall, 21 nick nacks on one shelf, 14 on another...everything has to be done in 7's...don't ask me..I haven't a clue..
2. I have the ability to blink things away...I have had bad things happen to me in the past and if I start to remember them I blink 7 times and they go away...don't ask me ..I don't have a clue..I know it works.
3. when giving directions I always say go forward(never go straight) instead of go straight ahead...everyone in the family says it now...go forward, never go straight....
4. I am still very very pissed at NBC for canceling Another World. It has been over 10 years and I still hate them for that. I would rather set myself on fire than watch Passions...stupid fucking idiot tv show.I still want to know what Rachel Corey is up to..
5.I hold grudges...and no matter how long it takes, if I think you have fucked me over or someone I love, I will get even ..and in spades....Nobody does revenge better than Jackiesue..remember ...I am a Scorpio....
6. I really belive I have mystical powers...
is that weird enough for you?..I have more..It took me 3 hours to narrow it down to these 6. My first list was 83....then it was 194, then it was 901,035..so whittling it down to 6 was hard...wanted to make sure there was nothing on the list that would get me arrested or thrown out of any more family reunions...I actually like being weird...it has always made me nervous to think I might be 'normal'...how scary is that...normal....hey, that would look good on my tombstone...'well, she wasn't normal'....along with me giving the finger from inside my coffin...that would go along way to makeing me not normal..being normal is like wearing someone else's underwear...it's not healthy and it rides up in your crotch.

.......LIVE TILL I'M 90.......

I read an article in the DAM NEWS that women are expected to live into their 90's....damn! Kill me now.I'm almost 63 and I'm fuckennear wore out. What will I be like if I live to be 90? I try to get a mental picture of me at 90 but all I can see is an older version of me...really really pissed...Now let me tell you, I am in no hurry to croak...and if and when you do hear that I am croaked...know that I did not go gently into the good night...But I know living until im 90 and not being in good mental health is enough to make me start taking better care of myself...What would be worse than to live to be 90 and not know where you are, who you are or what's up? I can see me in the West Rest Home waving my cane around and swearing about Forest Gump...hmm that rhymed..There may be a song in there someplace..Hopefully I will out live Forest and can spit on his grave...I am trying to think of some good reasons to be glad that I will live to be 90 and other than having longer time to fuck with people...not much..Men are supposed to live until they are in their 80's...Great! younger men...
With global warming the way it is,I will probably be sitting on a rock in the middle of Texas surrounded by water and ice with the temperture at 137degrees..maybe the Cowboys will have won the Super Bowl again by then....
fuckme till Im old and gray(ooops..already am)

.......I MISS SOONER.......

Where for art thou..Soonerboy? I know things have been topsy turvey my son...but that isn't important..what IS important is the flocks, herds, and murders of fans who love and miss you..We miss Sooner's Bar and Grill, we miss your slanted outlook in our lives..we miss the sweet tales of Hannah Banana and the peeing puppy.Rocky asked about you this morning..said "hey, where's that asshole Sooner?"...I am sure you would have some terrific advice to give Babs on how to handle BB Boy.(that is if she would take it.hehe)I know I could use your input on how to deal with the slammed doors in my face while out stomping for Kinky..I know standing there on their porch screaming "yea..well, fuck you, you ignorant, Bible thumping, born again, evangelican Christian, Bush loving,Rebulican, peices of shit."... is not the way to go.Denise needs your thoughts on some store asking a woman not to breast feed on their property.. Nit wit needs an idea of what to post on the other side so he can get thrown out...I know you have a few ideas there...Leo's up to his ass in tree limbs, byg needs you to drop by and make him laugh and snort...we have a new crew of old crew arriving that need direction and shelter from the storm...
So what I'm trying to say here little buddy..is COME HOME...WE NEED YOU..WE MISS YOU...THINGS JUST AIN'T BEEN THE SAME SINCE YOU BEEN GONE...(there is a song in there someplace)....I am so lonely here ....come home .....come home...come home...your udder mudder..jackiesue

.......COWGIRLS ON THE FLY.......

I love my DAM NEWS.....this was in my DAM NEWS yesterday..
Cowgirl life is second nature...women ride into North Texas to camp and rustle up some fun..
This group of about 40 "sisters" packed their feather beds for a weekend stay at the refurbished and renamed Vineyards Campgroud on Grapevine Lake, where they will fly-fish among other activities.
The Sisters on the Fly are a national organization of independ, sassy women who drive vintage, Westen-themed trailers to campsites across the country to fish and enjoy other outdoor activities...."We don't talk about work or men. We talk about flat tires and fishing. The purpose is to cowgirl up. We can do everything and anything.".........Maurrie Susssman founder of Sisters on the Fly.
"I love the outdoors, and getting together with women was such a great experience," said Ms. Verri,38, who is traveling with her mother, Barbara Verri of Plano, in a 1960 Shasta travel trailer with a cowgirl painted on the side."With women, we really work well together and learn from each other. It's more of a sharing time. It kind of pushes you out of your comfort zone."..One truck pulled a pink trailer emblazoned with "Sisters on the Fly". A cowgirl dangled from the air conditioner.
The visit coincides with the opening of the campgrounds once known as Silver Lake, and Joe Moore's wife Peggy Moore has also goined the group. Joe is the assistant director of parks and recreation. The women who hail from Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Montana, California, Arkansas and Texas will also have access to a nature trail.
Group members kicked off their weekend Thursday at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth.
The group's founder, Maurrie Sussman of Phoenix, said Sisters on the Fly has no criteria for membership and only one rule:"have fun."
Ms. Sussman and her sister Becky Clark hatched the idea for the group while they were celebrating catching an 8-lb brown trout while fly-fishing in Montana.
"We do not ask race, religion, political views or sexual orientation," said Ms. Sussman. The organization has nearly 500 members ranging in age from 28 to 83, Ms. Sussman said. They range from experiencd outdoor types to those who have gone their entire lives using"indoor facilities."
"Let's just say, they're learning to rough it."Ms. Sussman said, slightly tipping her wide-brimmed cowboy hat.
"It's a true sisterhood," said Ms. Verri, an Internet company manager in Dallas when she's not tinkering with her trailer.
"I wouldn't trade my cowgirl sisters for anything," she said. "We've helped each other through good times and high times."
The mural on her trailer is decorated with a favorite quote:"Well behaved women rarely make history."
"That should tell you everything," Ms. Verri said.
(Sisters on the Fly will be at the Vineyards Campgrouds at 1501 N. Dooley St. in Grapevine, Texas through Sunday. For more information on Sisters on the Fly, visit www.sistersonthefly.com.)
Well is that a kicker or what....I am so proud to be a woman with sisters like that on the move...and that quote about well behaved women is one of my favorite quotes and have posted about it before..I for one am going to check them out..
Wonder how much it would cost to buy a little trailer and slap it on the ass end of my little truck? Hell...I have new tires...but the gas....oh man..the gas...if the gas was cheaper..I would do it ...maybe...well...probably not...even though I love the idea and think it would be cool and fun...that would last about ...hm...3 days ....I think I could last 3 days..but anytime after that I would have to be put in restraints..because of my lack of people skills on a one on one basis...yup...3 days...maybe I could do it for a weekend a month...or a week end a year....yeah..that's the ticket...a weekend a year...all of us anti-social women of blogville could get together one weekend a year...whadda ya think?
fuckme till I wear spurs.

VANITY FAIR...and the articles great.

Ohhhhhh, I love Vanity Fair....this is the green issue..with Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Robert F. Kennedy, and Al Gore on the cover...some absolutely great articles on global warming. There is one article that I wish all of you could read.It is titled The Rape of Appalachia. If you read this and are not moved to tears I don't know my readers....it shows the most horrific pictures of the mountains of the Appalachian's that are now huge gaping holes in the ground..the tops are leveled...thanks to the coal mining industry..The E.P.A said that in 2003, 4000,000 acres, all rich and diverse temperate forest has been destroyed between 1985-2001. Which means that number is even greater now..Generations of family's have been uprooted because of the coal mines. I tried to think of the scariest parts to relate to you..but i would have to do the entire article and it is just too long...so I will only tell you about this earthen dam that is build behind the Marsh Fork Elementary, which has 217 students..The pit holds chemical slurry left over from washing the coal.from a helicopter it looks like a huge, open-topped hornet's nest, filled to the brim with black, opaque liguid. It holds 2.8 billion gallons of highly toxic liquid. They can and do rupture..in Oct.of 2000 one of them ruptured and sent 306 million gallons of sludge to the local waterwasys.. worse environmental diaster in the southeastern United States. in 1972 an impoundment breached sending 132 million gallons of sludge and drowning 125 people in the process. If the one behind the school breaks it is all over with, even if they had time to alert anyone..it would be too late..The kids are all sick at the school..They have had as few as 4 or 5 kids in a class, the rest out with diarrhea and vomiting...There is more...much more..but like I said..it is too lengthy..I don't know if you can google Vanity Fair and read the article or if you have to read the magazine. It is worth the $4.50 to get the article...it just made me crazy...fuckers...And who is allowing this to occur? You betcha...forest gump....On Jan. 20th, 2001, his very first day in office, Bush called in chief of Staff Andrew Card and told him to send directives to every executive department with authority over environmental issues ordering them to immediately put on hold more than a dozen new regulations left over from the Clinton Administration. These regulations included everything from one that lowered arsenic levels in drinking water to another thatsought to reduce releases of raw sewage. There were rules setting limits on logging, drilling and mining on public lands:increasing energy-efficiency standards;and banning snowmobiles in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. All were put on hold.

This was no surprise to most Texans. In a 2000 report by the Republicans for Environmental Protection(rep), Texas was the worse state in the nation for emissions of toxic and ozone-causing chemicals, as well as for the discharge of carcinogens harmful to the brains and central nervous systems of small children.Texas had the largest number of hazardous-waste incinerators and released more airborne industrial toxins than any other state. It was number 1 in the production of cancer causing benzene and vinyl chloride, in the release of toxic waste into underground wells, and in violations of clean-water discharge standards.During Bush's 6 years in Austin,Houston passed Los Angeles as the city with the worse air quality in America;by the time he left office, a third of Texas's rivers were so polluted that they were unfit for recreational use.The REP study could not find one single initiative by Bush during his time as governor that sought to improve either the state's air or its water.
While running for reelection, the REP Political Action Committee took the almost unprecedented step, for a G.O.P.group, of refusing to endorse the party's standard bearer. The organization said,"that over the last four years, the Bush administration has compiled a deliberately anti-environmental anti-conservation record that will result in lasting damage to public health and to America's natural heritage."
The president evidently felt otherwise. In his second presidential debate against Sen. John Kerry, he declared,"I'm a good steward of the land. The quality of the air is cleaner since I've been the president.Fewer water complaints since I 've been the president."
The National Resources Defense Council reported in Jan. 2005, "Over the course of the first term, this administration led the most thorough and destructive campaign against America's environmental safeguards in the past 40 years."
