WELCOME ABOARD TO THE MAGICAL MYSTICAL MYSTERY TOUR...

I loved the colors...but they were.....pretty....the blue was beautiful..but it sorta looked lilac too...which is ...pretty..
and I am not sure...but I don't think you all are coming here for pret
ty...you are coming here to see what outragious tacky things I said about Forest Gump and his brethern...I do not do pretty....I do black and yellowdog....My profound apologies to Pixie who on her own, spend part of an afternoon trying to find the right colors for me...I thought I had found them...I was wrong...I'm so sorry Pix...it just wasn't me...and Tina I hope at least by using the creamier yellow it will be easier on your eyes...not so harsh...Plus Babs said I would get arrested for false advertising...'Oh,look...this is a pretty little blog...a granny blog with lilac and cream..so sweet and purty......Oh my...did she just say Fuck George Bush?????...I need to go to church and have an exorcism.'
Hoo
boy..the next door neighbor is having the mother of all garage sales..She used to have a antique store In Waxahatchie, Texas and has some of the best stuff..I got a antique kitchen scale for $2...5 cd's for $2(coolieo, Nortorious B.I.G, and 2pac...)hey, I like Gangsta's paradise..and 2pac is pretty good, but I'm not sure about the BIG guy...I got a 4book box set of the Hobbit series for $2,a hand painted christmas ball for .50,a small box about the size of a hardball made of bamboo with a rose on the top for .50,a brass basket, for .50,some paper backs for .50 each,a brass angel with lots of hanging bells for $1,and 6 tiny little tart pans for $1.I know I got more but can't remember and that was just yesterday..dang...also going to buy her queen size bed with 4 post frame for $60...Shady Lane said she would get it for me for my birthday...which isn't till Nov...but I like early presents..
I also got a (I hope) great recipe off of a cooking show I like..America's Test
Kitchen...bought one of those hams with the bone in it..picnic hams is what I always called them...they were on sale and got a nice size one for $10.05...peeled the fat and skin off of it..made up this chili rub.(Shady Lane sent me a huge package of real chili..from New Mexico..with just chili..no other spices in it)then I smeared the rub allllll over the ham and wrapped it in saran wrap and stuck it refrigerator last night about 10pm...will take it out tonight at 10pm and stick it oven and cook it on low till it is done.the recipe says to bbq over coals first and then stick in oven...but I'm not going to fire up my bbqer this late in the summer..so I will let you know how it turns out...what you are supposed to do when it is done is let it sit...then shread the meat into a bowl.then pour this n. carolina bbq sauce over it and make bbq sandwitches....I normally wouldnt mess with no N.Carolina bbq sauce cause it is vinegary and mustardy....which is actually what you want on pork...so I will try it..plus on the tv show they put cole slaw on top of the meat and then ate it...so I will go the whole route and make a cole slaw also...and a big pan of corn bread...judas priest...it's just me and I still cook for 4+....anyone want to come over for supper??? I still have a freezer full of left over green chili stew..
Well...
.I am not sure what I am going to post about now that I am thru with the memory lane trips...any ideas? I am thinking of a tribute to Jack Paar...a good ole ass kicking forest gump post is way over due...thought about doing one on new orleans too...that one might piss off a lot of people...
Have a great weekend..kiss your spouses if you gottem..hug your dog,pet you cat, feed the kids...live your life like each day is your last...cause you never know..it just might be....fuckme till I'm radioactive..

Sounds like you found some real deals. And I'll have to try that chili-ham recipe sometime.

I do like the lighter shade of yellow... and I started to make a comment about your description of it being "creamier," but I'll leave that to your imagination.

I'm not half the perv I used to be.

Why don't you post some of the Greatest Moments in History with the Yellowdog Granny touch? You could make the Spanish Inquisition and the Great Plague funny?

Jan: well, I spent all last night getting all the stats for 1990..im such a schmuck...
tex:i just like the hair
sling:the bbq is absofuckinglutely fanfuckingtastic...i made the slaw and bbq sauce which is so different from texas sauce for beef...first time i had ever made it but with the pork it was soooo good..but i think my version might be a little hotter than most people would like...i had 2 sandwiches for dinner...pilled the meat with sauce on buns and put just a dap of slaw on top of it and sliced up some onions to go with it..holy shit..it is sooo good...never thought i would ever think pork bbq would be as good or better than beef..but but golly..it's terrific..
Leo: i lied when i put that sign up...i had some really great drunk days..plus i was young and drunk as apposed to old and sober...i'd rather be young and drunk any day..
im afraid to jinx them..but the boys are ahead...

Another good sauce for pork is Sweet Baby Ray's. I like sweet sauce with my pork. I bet that ham turned out Crazee Tastee.

and right you do need a "darker" colour to match you kick ass personality.

Speaking of Mr. Gump. Have you read the book Cronies, by Robert Bryce? I have a feeling you'd enjoy it, being from Texas. It would probably make you made too. A real eye opener.
