Go you!!

...and it looks like you got some sunshine judging by the West Texas web cam shots to celebrate your 20 years of clear-headedness.

You impress me.

Wow!! Congratulations! That is a milestone to celebrate!! Cake is in order (sugar-free of course). I'm 10 years sober this year myself as far as booze goes. Wow. Come to think of it, October 1999 was the last drunk for me. I did have half a glass of wine in 2001 and I broke out in a sweat. Never looked back, other than the one sip of champaigne Curmy insists I have at New Year's (then he finishes my glass because I don't want it).

I'm babysitting the granddaughters dog chewy...a schnauser..he and dexter woke me up at 8am plaing on the bed..i got up and dexter had shredded toilet paper from the bathroom to the living room..both trash baskets were in the floor and trash all over the place..pillows on couch were on the floor, all the toys were all over the floor and dexter has shown chewy how to get behind the couches so now they chase each other around and around and around and around..i may be drinking again...soon...a lot..and often.

oh and i almost forgot ..i had the window open and chewy pushed the screen off and dexter got out and if i hadn't been fleet of foot and alert to a shift in the atmosphere i would never have caught him.

In the quest for sobriety, it helps to have a football team that actually wins a few games now and then. You have less reason to drown your sorrows. I think we both know what I'm talking about...

Congratulations to you, Gran! You probably saved your own life, so now you can save Dextie's.

You've got a lot of strength. That's from a thirty something year drinker.
You should be very proud.

I'd love to tell you how hard it was and it was a struggle and I just perservered..but after the first 6 months..it was a done deal..never looked back..but then I did that with the smoking too..
I can quit everything but the fucking cowboys..

Of all the things I love about you, this tidbit is my favorite. It shows me that you're strong. It shows me that you are filled with gratitude. And it shows me that all things are possible in this life. Congratulations!
